Do the same hours as MVMCP.

1. Tip Top Soiree. Great idea. Should've been inside to make it feel special as if you're in a function hall for the Hollywood Tower.
2. Toy Story Holiday Overlay. No brainer.
3. Smuggler's Run could've had an overlay where you're delivering gifts to the younglings on Life Day. (Gunners could be launching the gift packages)
4. Stage show based on Muppet Christmas Carol.
5. Free Gertie Christmas Cookies and Cocoa.
6. BB-8 Meet and Greet where he's dressed like a snowman.
7. Rockin Rollercoaster Around the Christmas Tree. (Holiday music, red/green lights, decorate the plywood set pieces)
8. Toy Story character meet and greets (dressed for Christmas).
9. Simple holiday parade akin to Stars and Motorcars.
10. 50's Primetime holiday overlay (Going home for the holidays for dinner).
11. Sci-Fi Dine-In could play Christmas movie trailers.

There's a way to make a really decent holiday party at the Studios...but what they did is not it.

Ok I laughed about Duffy but seeing Jiminy, Scrooge, Mary and penguin, and others is a huge improvement.

Cool to see some rare characters but I'm gonna be honest... if I'm spending like $200 to look at a bunch of characters and stand in line for likely a ridiculous amount of time, it just ain't worth it.

Duffy is a nice surprise, but it's sad kids have no idea who he is. I don't why he's not embraced more around any park in the US.

Terrible name. It should be either The Laurel and Holly Lolly or The Laurel and Holly-pop.

Obviously a big improvement character wise but the choices are so odd. Snow White, dopey, Mary and mr penguin all meet at kingdoms party plus stitch but to be fair in a worse outfit. Add bullseye in toy story land, add sweetums, some Star Wars character. Hell even cogsworth and Lumière would make more sense bc of the stage show

I agree - I loved getting to meet Duffy years ago at Epcot. It’s interesting how popular he is outside the US.

It was likely a scramble so gotta take what you can get. Repeat face makes sense because Jollywood Nights doesn't overlap with MVMCP, so the already trained face characters can pick up extra shifts at Jollywood Nights.

Any reports on the rest of the event? Tip Top Bar? Hollywood Brown Derby? Did they finally figure out how to fully cook the food?

From friends reports, night 2 definitely seemed to try and fix many of the issues reported on night 1. They said things seemed more organized and there seemed to be more going on with additional characters. They also moved a live DJ into the middle of the park which helped boost the energy. Brown Derby and the Tower of Terror area also were described as more organized. Friends said they had a good time. I'm sure better weather helped too.

Quick review from Ashley Carter - sounds like no major changes but that things were much more organized/less chaotic. Definitely still not a perfect event but sounds like last night would have been a lot more enjoyable to be at than night 1

I went last night and was pleasantly surprised. My expectations were pretty low based on reviews of the first party. We were already in the park and there was no line to check in at Launch Bay ~7:20. Didn't see any ridiculously long lines all night -- longest were probably for the shows.

Tip Top Lounge appeared to have fully revamped. It was a much larger bar set-up (not a cart), I specifically counted and there were 8 people behind the bar - most in bellhop costumes. It split into two lines to order, managed by a CM, and then you picked up your drink in the center. Drinks are still pre-mixed, but I thought it was decent. We waited maybe 5 minutes. Not a lot of room in the lounge area and very few tables but the band is good (even saw production managers there checking decibel levels as apparently that was an issue at the first event).

The Gertie cookie situation appeared to have been reworked as well. Two separate lines to order with ice cream or just cookie. Line for just cookie moved very quickly (under 5 min); ice cream seemed like it was taking a bit longer.

Extra characters were a fun surprise and the lines seemed reasonable. The main area with Mickey, Minnie et. al in their holiday gear and also the special photo opps was fairly uncrowded when we went through, with what looked like very reasonable lines.

Was no line at Baseline and easy to find a seat. The fiesta performers by ABC Commissary were terrific and got people dancing. When we walked by Brown Derby there was no line and saw some empty tables inside.

Overall, we had fun and it put us in the holiday spirit. Would I go again next year? At this price (with food and drink extra) and for only four hours, I'd have to think about it. But it's not an automatic "no way." I do think there's more they can do with the event and hope that they do 'plus' it next year.
