If you saw Lights of Wonder first-hand, you'd know that the current offerings at Epcot are sub-par, at best (Candlelight Processional aside, that's always good).

I didn't and I'm sure it was great at the time.

But hearing La Befana tell her story in Italy is a very unique offering and I hope to watch it one day. A lot more appealing to me than Christmas light displays that I can see anywhere in the USA this day and age.

I mean, it's par for the course with the current offerings at DHS...why not charge a few more bucks.
That's true and people will pay for it. Jingle Bell Jingle Bam has to be the worst fireworks show they have done and the projections on the tower are nothing to write home about. They obviously had no budget for this event, but thought what can we come up with that won't cost much that we can charge for.

Would be nice if Muppets and JBJB! shocks us all and everyone doesn't just go because of NMBC.....Nothing wrong about that movie but DHS was clever to add that in there..........

I wonder if this'll take pressure off of the ridiculous character meet line (five hours or so).

Probably not.

We did Disney at the holidays for the first time last December and didn't do MCMCP and still felt we got a ton of holiday elements. EPCOT was a big factor with the storytellers in each countries and Candlelight Processional (we saw Josh Gad) - which is free (though they offer a dining package to guarantee a seat), plus the festival booths

AK had the Merry Menagerie which was pretty great. DHS has the decorations and the projections on ToT plus the snoap on Sunset Bvld which all felt pretty holidayish to me
Ehhh. I think if you had also gone to Universal, or SeaWorld, or Busch gardens, you would have realized Disney truly is Just phoning it in. It comes to the holidays they truly do just the basics. Nothing more. Go to one of its competitors and you'll see a far more comprehensive list of holiday season entertainment offerings and bonus almost always included with the regular park admission. IMO SeaWorld is currently the holiday entertainment offerings champion of the Central Florida theme parks. Yes, Sea World.
That’s mildly appealing to me as well. I’d like to see pictures, videos, and some unbiased reviews though before I paid for that. It is nice to have some more adult oriented options that include something other than nasty cookies and cold cocoa.
Those cookies were bad but honestly my hot cocoa was too hot. Burnt my tongue.
This is interesting. Seems like a DAH price tag but no mention of those "free" snacks that DAH events have and there's going to be a Virtual Queue for Rise. Including PhotoPass downloads is a nice addition, at least for people who don't have an AP with the PhotoPass add-on. The Muppets show could be good, too. Fewer dates than MVMCP and its price maxes out $20 lower. It's a mixed bag, overall, to me.
No included snacks (nothing is free at Disney) but there will be limited capacity bars.
$159-$179 (lower than I guessed) but they can’t even throw in something tangible. Sorry, but “free” PhotoPass is a throwaway that costs them nothing. Another bare minimum, “good enough” effort for that price? Pass.
If it's good enough for six flags....
Why in the world is RotR regressing to a VQ for this? That sounds like "limited capacity" is going to be Full Capacity - 1.
Agree... This feels needless.
Next up

A Very Merry Ticket and Transportation Center Celebration!

$150pp - ride the Christmas monorail with free hot chocolate
Christmas monorails = monorail red with white stripes added on its red bar.
$10 is nothing!
It's two sodas (pre-tax and assumes no additional price hikes between now and the holidays)

I give Sea World a lot of credit, I think they are the best as far as included holiday offerings

But I think Epcot is pretty great too specifically world showcase with all the storytellers and then you get celebrity narrators for Candlelight, etc - that is more than just the basics

I disagree about JBJB, I thought it was one of the best Christmas fireworks shows at WDW until they butchered it. Personally, I found that DHS had the best overall Christmas package at WDW for a couple years. I don't know what it's been like since 2019 though

JBJB has a disadvantage, Even it's best year can't compare to SWW Fireworks for Christmas 2015!! That was Stunning!!!!!!!

We were there last year and I liked it - the retro decorations and music they play in Hollywood Bvld/Eco Lake area is really fun and the projections on ToT with the snoap coming down is really nice.

It's not like the greatest offerings ever but some nice elements

will have to agree to disagree. Holiday Wishes and even Minnie's Wonderful Christmas Time fireworks but's JBJB to shame. If you enjoy projection shows Hollywood Studios Christmas has that going for it.

I most certainly agree though they will need to work on repairing damage to their xmas trees on the lake as last year they were damage pretty bad after a series of bad storms. Hopefully they will have repaired the damage by now.
