So they get to sell admission to two parks twice in a day this fall…
All they need now is a paid Christmas festival around the world after hours in world showcase and a Christmas event in Animal Kingdom with Christmas lights on the tree of life, a night show in the lagoon, and a small safari Christmas parade of lights and they are back in biz!

Then sell a combo ticket for $500 per person to attend all 4! (along with day ticket prices).

After hours hype train just started, cant wait for nighttime parade after hours & Christmas at Epcot after hours next year. Maybe they'll paywall the 60th celebration while they're at it.

If that happens then they have done what they have always wanted to do. They are now fully able to sell the park twice a day.

Will Kermit and Piggy be Puppets or life size like the early 90's??
I think those costumes were either archived or destroyed by this point. Not 100% sure about that but I don't see them hanging around considering how long they've not been in use and how hyperspecific they were... Then again, the amount of work it takes to set up and design a show for actual Muppets is difficult to say the least. Although I believe WDI on this coast has their own set since Great Moments in History. Assuming they do the voices pre-recorded, like they did with that show... I could see it being the actual puppet-sized versus the walk arounds.

Let's not give TDO ideas!!!!!

I still have faith that a Night Parade nor Candlelight will be behind a paywall! You would think there would be too much bad PR....

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least, and they attempted a hard ticket event before outside of the usual Halloween and Christmas events. I don’t exactly remember the reason why it didn’t last but I would imagine it was due to a lot of backlash cutting into regular park hours during the busy times of the year. Of course now a days they don’t seem to care and it’s all about the $$$.

Imagine if they stick the beloved HEA behind a paywall. Or bring back Wishes and a nighttime parade 🤔. Wanna see how fast those nights sell out? Lol.

Those costumed versions were made by Vee Corporation the same company that does the Sesame Street live shows and the ones you commonly see at the sea world parks..If anything they would probably go with Puppet form..

The first one I can remember was the Pirate and Princess party. It was in the spring of 2007. They did do a very good job on that one. Lots of rare characters, parade, lots of live entertainment (the Dapper Dans were in Adventureland) and special fireworks. I believe (it was a long time ago) there were free snacks, unique Pirate and Princess merchandise (I have a long sleeve T-Shirt that said inaugural year) and it went from 7pm-midnight. I forget what it cost then but I'm sure that I paid less than $30 each (CM night tickets from Company D).

We loved it. Shame it only went 2 years.

I remember also that it was the only event that incorporated a Happy Meal Set from Mcdonalds to promote the event...No other event like this had a Happy Meal toy set that came out for it...After this event it just vanished.

The Pirate and Princess Party was fun. Magic Music and Mayhem was a awesome show!

Epcot still has free holiday offerings and they seem pretty great. I've only watched videos, but the different versions of "Santa" in each country that comes and tells a story is unique and charming. Is the choir show free? I forget the name.
And Animal Kingdom's offerings are free.

I get what you guys are saying, but Disney still offers a lot of holiday activities in the parks for "free".

If you saw Lights of Wonder first-hand, you'd know that the current offerings at Epcot are sub-par, at best (Candlelight Processional aside, that's always good).

I'm a cynic; until shown otherwise I'm presuming Kermit and Ms. Piggy will be there via a screen. It's the easiest option, and "live show" can easily be referring to everything else.

As a childless Disney adult, I hate to say that I will most likely be purchasing a ticket to this.
Same. Was never a huge fan of MVMCP, prefer all the festivities at Epcot. But this I think I’d be willing to pay for. I love the decorations there, the muppet show sounds cool, I’m intrigued by the jazz club and soirée entertainment offerings (but trying to figure out what “limited capacity” means for these… is it an additional extra cost? Or is it performed several times nightly and then you have to leave the venue after?) I wish it included popcorn and sodas rather than the PhotoPass. I get in the parks for free all year so I don’t mind paying extra for something special sometimes. Now if this is popular I wonder if they’d think of brining oogie boogie bash over, that’s another thing I’d pay for over not so scary.
