Are they going to make this the Wakandan Embassy?
It has the dome thing going on, if they did a skrim like applique on it you could have a cool pavilion.

I know the motion syms are toast, but they could put new ones in the bays and have a tour of Wakanda pretty easily.

At least off the shelf as far as tech, with the building already there, the cost would be low for what would be an incredibly popular ride.

Maybe move the motion syms from Star Wars over once they open Galaxy's Edge?
They need to clean up that entrance, area to Star Wars, and moving those over to EPCOT and making a Tour of Wakanda would:
1) Keep with the Worlds Fair theme
2) Be incredibly popular and
3) Be ready for the 50th.

Lemme get this straight:

So they dismantled body wars 10 years ago...and they're gonna disassemble star tours and then re assemble it on top of body Wars?

It would be more likely to become an Embassy Suites than a Wakandan Embassy.

Wakanda isn’t a real place and they would NEVER put in a ride at Epcot set in a fictional kingdom.

Well don't look down the road at the old Energy Adventure....

BP is not coming anywhere in Florida. Of the “Marvel families” Universal has the rights to use in their parks, he fits into two for sure, and possibly a third. His original appearance was in Fantastic Four, which he was a reoccurring character. He has been on numerous Avenger teams. On top of that you could connect him to the X-Men because he was married to Storm at one point. It’s not going to happen.

We truly don't know what "family" means. The same story was done for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, but, as we could see,Disney figured it out and used them in Avengers. They are literally Magnetos kids in the comics...they are definitely XMen and were owned by Fox for films, but Disney still used them in films.

Its entirely possible Disney could challenge just about any of these properties based on their level of "family" and that BP is only referenced in a few murals within IoA. We don't really know any of this and I would urge caution before saying anything one way or the other. Doctor Strange has been an Avenger or New Avenger consistently in the 1990s and 2000s, but he was a M&G character at WDW...literally during the period the original contract was signed.

There seems to be some way Disney is arguing their cases and winning on some grounds. BP may or may not be in that grey area...We just need to wait and see.

I know Disney has blurred the lines with what is appropriate to use in Epcot and in particular Future World, but can someone fill me in on how BP would make any sense in Future World? What ideals or plot or anything could be used to tie it in?

Good grief...they have a contract with their direct competitor up the street that eliminates their use of about 80% of the Marvel properties and gives them profit without a CENT of cost...

They're not really interested in building marvel rides with the exception of guardians of the galaxy where bob has some kind of creepy stalker obsession with his IP buys...it's an outlier.

Nothing else is happening.

Can we not ask about marvel rides on EVERY thread?

It makes no sense, outside being next to GotG.

I don't want it anymore than anybody else, but lets not act like we all know a part of the contract that is confidential and has never been publically released. We know that "Family" doesn't mean what we all think it means and saying its "impossible" is not really a valid argument. Im saying never be so sure about whats in that contract, because we have all been very very wrong several times already.
