Im going to wdw with my family and boyfriend in early november, and just wondering, whats it like there that time of year? I heard the crowds are a LOT smaller, since ill be there right after halloween, and before thanksgiving..

ive been twice but both times were during spring break..

im a disney world nerd, but ive only been with my family, and a friend on mine. my boyfriends never been , and im trying to think of ways to give him the true disney experience, anyone have any ideas? there dosent seem to be a whole lot of romantic things for a pair of 17 year olds to do :veryconfu

November is great!! Depending on how late in the month you go, you get the benefit of seeing much of the Xmas decorations without the Xmas crowds!

...and it doesn't get too chilly, you might need a light jacket at night, but nothing nearly like we get in the Northeast!!

We first started going in Nov. of 97, and have gone a number of times since then. Not too hot, not too cold, the crowds are smaller, no bugs. And you also get to check out the FAWF. That's if you go the first week of Nov. And alot of the people there are from NJ. In fact we should be there the last few days of that week. Working on it with Marie at KK.

We have been in late November each of the last three years. We are taking an extended trip Nov 9 - 19 this year. I know the first weekend is soap weekend, is there any particular park that may not be as busy that weekend?

everything else but, MGM. And if you get to MK as they open you can get at least 2 shots on all three mountains:D

The first week of November can be crowded, because I believe it's Jersey Week. And also they have the Soap Opera Weekend. But, it's not summer crazy. The crowds are great, and the weather is wonderful. DH and I went to WDW in 11/9/03 to 11/16/03. It only rained once during our time. The weather was around 70 degrees, almost throughout our trip. There were a few times that I needed to put on my hooded Tinkerbelle sweatshirt, but it wasn't freezing. I just get easily cold. Plus, you can catch the Food and Wine Festival and that's wonderful.

As long as you don't go during the week of Thanksgiving, you should be fine as far as crowds go.
The weather should be nice too!
For people your age I would recommend:
-a walk on the boardwalk at the Boardwalk Resort at night
-watching Illuminations at Epcot from your favorite country
-sharing a sundae at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club Resort
-taking a wagon ride at the Fort Wilderness Resort at night
-sitting on the beach at the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian at night (maybe even catch a glimpse of Wishes from the Magic Kingdom)
-take a carriage ride or a bike ride at one of the resorts that offer them (at night would be more romantic)
-play miniature golf at one of the courses on the property
:D

Can anyone tell me what soap week and Jersey week are? We are looking to be in Disney in either November or December. Also, how early do the Christmas decorations go up? Thanks!

Soap week is at MGM, the first weekend in Nov. i believe its where soap stars from abc soap operas are at the park and make appearences, sign autographs, and ect.
i think they call it jersey week, becuase its a short week for schools in New Jersey, only 2 days, so a lot of familys from NJ go this week. Im not completly sure thats why, but thats why my family is going:)
as far as the christmas decorations, i think its somewhere near thanksgiving. but ive only been to disney in the spring.
