Wow, that definitely makes sense though.

Grad Nite seems so long ago. I still have my Disney Gad Nite shirt too! I should go into my boxes and take a picture of it!

Working Grad Nite wasn't nearly as bad as working Night Of Joy. I would do a whole month of Grad Nite's over one Night of Joy.

I went to Grad Nite in 1996 and it was pretty miserable. It was hot and we all had to dress up. Guys had to wear a dress shirt and tie, is this still the case? If you took your tie off they wouldnt even let you on the ride. I hated it.

Do you think this will affect how many tickets they sell for grad night? MK can hold so many more people, I'd think the studios would seem more crowded on grad nights.

No, not anymore.

Disney has become pretty lax on the dress code nowadays.

By Disney standards, you can even wear shorts and a polo shirt (just as long as they are the proper color and not tattered).

Chances are that a person's school will enforce the dress code more than Disney will.

That's what I was thinking.

Would they hold more nights to fit all the people that they used to hold when it was at MK?

This will last one year and then they will have to switch it back...not enough to do at DHS. They may be seniors but DHS just doesn't say Grad Nite and Disney the way MK does...I could be wrong, but I dont think the schools or kids are going to be too happy about this...only plus at all is TOT and RNRR.

It was an email to guests that have not yet booked their grad nite 08 reservations.

Actually the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Better venues for concerts (which are the main attraction of Grad Nite), better suited attractions, better areas for DJs and Dance Parties, so on and so forth. Not to mention, because there are so many more options, there may be additional areas for MORE live acts. Also the Studios events staff are MUCH more used to after hours events than the MK staff, which should lead to a much more smoothly-running event.

More information will come later this year. Sorry I'm not much help yet, but look for more info BEFORE GN 08 happens. GN 09 is going to be amazing! Trust me on this one! The juniors that go to the Junior Class Preview will certainly agree!

I don't think you're wrong. I think you're excatly right that they will be unhappy.
But I also knowthat the rest of the world in the other parks will be FAR happier!!

It seems that everyone on this thread thinks Grad Night is only about rides. Are you serious? I know it's a theme park, and that means rides, but having it at DHS will also mean more concerts and "special" stuff for them to do. Let's face it, you can ride the rides any old time, but Grad Night is unique.

I loved my Grad Nite and the thing that I remember the most from mine are the concerts! I think people are thinking too much about rides, and forgetting that this is supposed be a party for graduating seniors and not just a day in a Disney Park. Regardless or venue, I am sure that they will have a blast!
