Looks as if Nite of Joy isn't the only event leaving the Magic Kingodm Park.

This move makes sense to me. I can't see how much good comes out of large groups of teenagers and Fantasyland dark rides.

Maybe, but I think in this case the press release is probably pretty accurate. I would think most teens would rather do RNR than Peter Pan.

I bet maintenance will discover a 90% reduction in the amount of chewing gum that needs to be removed from the walls of Splash Mountain.

Is it 5:00 yet?
I remember when I went to Grad Nite in 1996..there was a Blast Off Party at MGM and then we got bussed to the MK until we were about passed out at 4am. I remember the lines were horrible. I wanted to go to HM but the line started in front of IASM! I don't really remember riding much. I think I rode Pirates, Space, Alien Encounter, Big Thunder, and IASM. Then we had to get up early the next day for Blizzard Beach, Epcot and MGM.

DHS makes more sense for Nite of Joy because the venues there are better suited for the concerts. You can put tons of people in Indy/LMA/Fantasmic!/TotS for the live acts.

I have to say after doing grad night at disneyland I couldn't imagine not doing it at the magic kingdom. DHS just wouldn't be the same. No splash, space mountain, big thunder, jungle cruises, rivers of america, castel show, fireworks. To me it just wouldn't be the same. My class chose grad night for our trip because of the magic behind being in the park all night. I just don't see DHS having that same appeal.

I can see this as smart on Disney's part for the amount of room but I think alot will be lost for the participants.

This sucks because I will be the first class to attend the new Grad Nights. Plus I've always wanted to do MK after dark. Plus they have more rides.

So where was this info from, a press release?

I just did Grad Nite last year, and this news is pretty surprising. I wonder how different it will be.

They won't have stuff like the Riverboat Dance party.

After all these years at MK, why the change? I would imagine there would be less people per night at DHS, no?
