Arnold Palmer, Richard Petty, James Cameron. George Lucas?

Interesting.

What are you going on about?

Richard Petty on property for years
George Lucas on property for even more years

Arnold Palmer - outsource
James Cameron - buy in

Are you trying to make some link that doesn't exist except in your rather strange mind?

Interesting.

Notice that Disney hasn't reached out to significant franchises geared towards women - that's because they don't have to. For those of us fanboys that criticized the original Fantasyland Expansion as being too female focused, that's why.

Disney struggles with the male demographic and they have finally started to realize that it's the Disney name that's the problem - by reaching out to others they can overcome that stigma.

No, only a cynic would conclude that.

I was making the point that great achievers are drawn to working with a company founded by a great achiever. Not only have they all been to the top of their various fields, they are all also accomplished capitalists.

A free society with free markets inevitably allows for great achievments.

Just a bit of counterprogramming to the insanity currently playing out in isolated pockets.

Class dismissed. You failed by the way.:wave:

Really, that is where this thread is heading. I think you might need a a deprogrammer, reading too much Ayn Rand has made you certifiable.

I understand that to some I am speaking a "foreign Language" but it is never to late to learn the realities of life and a new way of thinking if called for. Unless your great ambition is to live in a tent in a city park eating from a can of frozen tuna. Different strokes

Who freezes cans of tuna? The whole idea of the can is to keep it fresh without having to be frozen.

You forgot to mention Paul Pressler.

The four examples I used all had amazing success before deciding to work with Disney. I am not sure that applies in the example you are using.

They have not only seen success but essentially they each could claim to have been the best (by far) at each of their chosen fields of endeavor. It is an amazing list. And I guess Steve Jobs was there too since he was the largest share holder.

Just amazing.

He was vp of a big toy company before joining Disney. He went on to terrible leadership at the Gap (does that bolster your argument that capitalists recognize excellence?)

Michael Ovitz was also a dud. My point is that you are being highly selective in who you choose to mention.

Can I get 2 joints of whatever JT smokes please I would love to live in lala land.

Seriously money attracts these names more than anything else. They are not coming to channel the spirit of Walt he has been eaten by the worms long ago.

A toy company? Really?

There are many toy companies. If he had created the toy company and it became the best I might see your point. Otherwise adding him to the list is a non-starter. Sorry, you will have to do better than that.

And as a penalty on you I will add another to bolster my point. The winningest coach in NFL history (and always will be) has an enterprise at WDW. So I now add Don Shula to the list....

Arnold Palmer
Steve Jobs
Don Shula
Richard Petty
James Cameron
George Lucas

That is an amazing list I don't care what anyone says. :)

Your logic is so circular that it's hard to figure out what your point is. But your last statement is telling.

(P.S. No on here cares what you say either.) :)

Care to explain? I suspect you don't even know what you mean.

PS- I just added Richard Branson to the list as he too was once involved with an enterprise at WDW. I would not be suprised to see him return with an entirely new concept at some point. You know, after he gets his Space Port up and running.

So do you plan on stowing away on the ship to that imaginary island with John Galt? Some of us live in a world of reality where my boss makes 500X what I did last year(for real).

As for Shula, since he decided to sign a lease with Starwood(not TWDC) for one of his 30+ chains means he just punched his imaginary ticket?
