The obligatory word of caution....

Just because Disney has patented something doesn't mean that they actually plan to use it. To many times when these patents are posted people scramble to figure out what ride this will be used for and totally forget that one of the possible answer is "no ride at all".
Ignoring this is then followed by wild speculation that goes beyond what is actually described.

I suppose it could also potentially be some sort of speeder bike attraction. But I don't think it looks like it will be high speed enough.

My opinion is why would they patent a system they can't use? Maybe they think of systems Uni would use for their IPs and patent them. Also an Incredibles ride would be incredible.

They only place they can't use Spider-Man in at WDW (and maybe Japan), they are free to use the character anywhere else. They could also use the ride system at WDW for something other then Spider-Man.

I'm torn on this... It's innovative, which is great, and on paper it looks like a really exciting ride...

but...

I'm not sure how immersive it would be in practice. Wouldn't the ride mechanism be constantly visible? And would the motion feel natural? Is this just my innate Disney-related pessimism? I want to be convinced, but I'm not.

And if this is the Spidey ride, which seems logical, I'm not sure this will prove more immersive then Unis, which remains one of the four best rides in the USA. Ehhh... I'll wait and see.
