For sure. But I guess I'm asking: is their goal to have this whole thing wrapped up basically right after the 50th? Or are we thinking they could debut HEA 2.0 in May or even later? I have heard absolutely nothing.
It's not a new show, just run the old program and load the old shells?

I mean they can always do a practice 1AM show.

So, are we thinking they continue to run Enchantment beyond the end of the 50th (March 31)? In order to do so, the 50th decorations would have to stay. Also, they would likely have to go back to the original introduction. Both seem like deal breakers to me. I don't believe they will repurpose the 50th decorations for the 100th nor do I think they will try to make Enchantment a non-50th show again.
My guess is that they’re going to run happily ever after and slowly remove the 50th decor while running happily ever after similar to how they slowly added 50th decor while running happily ever after in 2021

TBH in all my trips in 2022, the 50th decor was really invisible to me. The thing I noticed the most was the 50th door matts at the hotels and shops.

I think the decorations were all up when HEA returned in 2021. But they could easily do this.

I mean the first 2/3 of May is a slow time. With TRON opening up earlier in the Spring, maybe they want to push it ensure a solid spring season for the MK.
Yeah, that's what I'm trying to sort out. But I feel like running Enchantment beyond the 50th would be really tricky unless they are willing to pull off the new 50th intro and keep the decorations up for a month after 50th ends.

Good point.

How long did they keep the 2000 Wand at EPCOT up after 2000.

They were not. The 50th medallion crest wasn't installed until July 23, 2021, but HEA officially returned on July 1st.

Also I'm pretty sure the revised HEA projections/lasers (that accounted for ribbons/crest) didn't premiere until the crest was installed.

That's a little different though. I think the comparison would be how long did they keep up the Disneyland 50th after the end of that celebration (I don't know).
I think the better question is when do they remove the 60th decorations from the Disneyland castle since that was a more recent event end is more similar to what modern Disney would do. We know that Disneyland Forever ended with the 60th anniversary initially.

Ah, good catch. So they could easily create versions of HEA that match the current status of the castle as they remove decorations. I think this is an approach they have to take. They can't run Enchantment with even a single decorative piece removed.

While this very likely true there is a small possibility they made a version of the show without the decor since the attraction poster and album cover for You Are the Magic do show the castle without the decor. However I do doubt they actually made projections without the decor.

It's totally possible. I'd imagine the software used to create the projections works kind of like photoshop, where there's different "layers" to it. Just hide the layers with the ribbons and you have the base layer projections. The crest could be a completely different layer and viola, you have a new set of projections.

The ribbons are only used really in the beginning. Elsewhere, they illuminate a different color than the spires. The crest is largely ignored and just projected on top.
