That may have been the idea when Disneyland was first created... but the reality is times change. We don't live in a Ozzie and Harriet world anymore and today families don't go out as groups destined to stand hand in hand enjoying rides together. More and more often when kids reach a certain age they splinter off tethered to their family with a cell phone to enjoy things on their own.... Not saying it is a good thing or a bad thing, just that times have changed. When times change Disney needs to change with the times, and for that reason I can understand why they need to make the parks more attractive to all ages even when some of the things will be off limits to the 5 and under crowd.
