Has anyone been on a Disney cruise before? If so, can you give me an idea of what to expect? My wife is researching it, but I would like to hear from people that have been on a cruise.

I went back in 1999, and had a blast. 4 adults no kids, there is tons of stuff to do without kids. I don't know if anything has changed but then they had adult areas and family/kid areas on the ship and Island.

Check out The Travel Channel . Last night they aired a show on Disney Cruises. I've seen that one before But I bet they'll repeat it at some point.
The thought of being trapped on a ship full of kids never thrilled me but after seeing the program I thought it might be kinda cool to go on a Disney cruise because there's alot of places for adults only.

My only beef with DCL is the cruises are never long enough. So I'm hoping to do a trans-canal cruise next year. That should be nice and long! DCL is AMAZING. This is how amazing DCL is.

WDW = :shrug:

DCL = :sohappy: :D :animwink: :eek: :ROFLOL: :kiss: :wave: :slurp: ;)

Does that help? Oh, and the vista spa... my GOD I could live in that place. Blows the spa at Saratoga Springs away!

With or without excursions, DCL is great. And at the Cast Member rates I get, it just makes the deal even sweeter.

The Disney cruises are wonderful! I had some clients booked for the first sailing for the Mediterranean (sp?) cruise and they said it was absolutely wonderful!

If you are doing the 3 or 4 night cruise, you can keep it a bit on the casual side. When you hit the 7 night cruise you do have a formal night and will need proper attire.

Do you have children or will it be just you and your wife? What length? If you need any information or help in booking, please feel free to contact me.

Amazing!!

The cruise line is incredible. We don't have kids and our 3rd cruise in 2 years will be in November. Despite what non Disney people think, the cruise has so many touches of class, incredible service (the best in the industry from my experience), amazing food (make reservations at Palo, it is a food experience you will never forget) and you never feel like the ship has a lot of people on it (a HUGE bonus). At any given moment (especially after 10 pm), we feel like we are the only ones on the ship. It's great not having to deal with a smokey casino with a bunch of drunks yelling off their balconies into the ocean at 3 in the morning. We go to Vegas for that!!! Booking a Disney cruise has become a part of our Disney world experience and to me (although I never thought I would say this) just as important as a trip to the parks

We're definitely doing a Disney cruise, when our youngest is old enough to participate in the kid's programming. We used to cruise alot pre-kids, mainly on Carnival (when we were young and didn't mind the "lets get drunk and party" atomsphere), so we are very excited to try Disney's version. From what I've seen on the travel channel shows and read, it looks wonderful.

If you go please let us know how it was!:)

I would definitely suggest waiting until your kids are three to take a Disney Cruise. That way you have the option of using the kids clubs - as opposed to paying for babysitting. You don't want to miss Palo and you can't take your kids!!

You can go on-line (I can't recall the site name) & request a WDW cruise DVD.
We actually put in a request for one today!:D

My wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary with our first Disney Cruise this September. Doing a four night, leaving on the 9th, followed with a week at the World. Everything we have read, seen and heard tells us that we are going to love it. Pam at Kingdom Konsultant is handling everything for us, and I can't reccommend her enough! She's been awesome! :sohappy:
