Tammy,

Would it be worth including a paragraph on dinner dress code in the FAQ? We've had 3 or 4 inquiries in the last couple months.

Yes! That's an excellent idea. Someone had a really good summary as an answer. I'll have to go find that one...

Tammy,

My questions is about pirate night.

We are planning on going all out and have got custumes for everyone in my group.

Will a lot of people be in custume?
Do people wear the custume to just the deck party or also to dinner?

Thanks!!!!

Yes, a lot of people wear costumes. Not a majority, but a lot. Some of them really do it up all the way.

The people who dress up wear the costumes to dinner, too.

Chuck is right. Definitely not everyone, but lots of people do. They definitely are dressed up at dinner. On most cruises they give everyone pirate bandanas at dinner too. So even if you didn't look like a pirate when you came in, you can look more like one when you leave! :)

Well only 74 days left till I set sail on the Magic. Here is another question:

When the Magic is at Castway Cay, what time do you get off the Magic and when do you have to be back on the ship?

Woo hoo! You're so close!

Disembarking is normally between 8 and 8:30 and all aboard time is usually 4:30. That can all vary a little depending on weather conditions and other factors, but that's about right! :)

Hi,

My Daughter will be 11 when we sail September 4th 2011 on the Dream. When do I register her for the clubs? If online, where exactly?

Thank you! Marilu72:sohappy:

Good question! You do not need to register kids ages 11 and up. For kids 3-10, you register them online after you have paid in full.

For the seven day cruise on the Disney Magic, does DCL have a Sunday Mass for Catholics on borad?

Possibly.

Disney tries to get the appropriate clergy onboard for holy holidays including Easter and Christmas.

Otherwise if there is a priest onboard that would like to hold a service, Disney will give them a space to do it and put it in the daily navigator.

There is a non denominational service on Sunday mornings and it's listed in the Navigator.

You mentioned that you can pay the tips prior to the cruise, can you add money to an onboard account for the excursions as well and if so, how do you do that?

Charges for excursions are charged to your stateroom. So if you provide a credit card at the start of the cruise, all your stateroom charges (excursions, drink charges, purchases in the ship's shops, Palo/Remy's meals, etc.) will get charged to the credit card.

If you prefer not to have these charges applied to a credit card, you can provide cash, traveler's checks or gift cards to Guest Services in the main Atrium to be applied to your stateroom account.

Chuck is right.

In addition, if you would like to give yourself an "onboard credit" so to speak you can do that anytime after your cruise is paid in full. Just let your travel agent know, or call Disney and have them charge it.

We have done this a few times as gifts for family members. When we don't know what to get the father in law for Christmas, we give him a card saying he will have an onboard credit on our upcoming cruise. Then we just charge it sometime before the cruise.

Also, just one more FYI if you have a Disney Visa and like to take advantage of their 6 months free financing. If you call before your cruise and charge an amount to your onboard account, it will show up as a Walt Disney Package charge on your credit card and be elligible for the free financing. If it's charged to your onboard account while you are sailing, it will not.

That could change, but that's the way it's worked for the last few years.

I forgot to add that Disney puts a card in your room or the person's room if it was a gift. It gives the credit amount and you can put in a short note too.:)
