It is licensed merchandise like any other apparel. Is ncaa merchandise at stores the same that you can get on campus? Not usually, but again what is the point of cranking out teen stars to a mass young audience if you can't sell the merchandise to them? Disney wants to make money also! If Disney wants to give its approval to everything from toothbrushes to Mac n' Cheese that's what you get.
I hear everyday from people that "I hate Walmart, I'll never come here again." That's great use your power as a consumer and freedom of choice and shop elsewhere, please. But they always come back.
