Really, you can only shake your head at this whole dumb idea. Didn't ANYONE at the concept meetings for this ride bring up the capacity issue? The crowds and the potential nightmare? Did ALL they look at is numbers and dollars and...oh wait, this isn't the Walt Disney Company anymore. It's the Robert Iger Company. Never mind... :(

Wondering this as well, its almost as if they are totally clueless, they cant be that clueless, can they!?!?! But like you said its the brand dollars company now so theme and logistics no longer matter.

I dont think so.
The people who were pulled for the Frozen thing, will get disappointed to see the insane wait times and will try to flock elsewhere if they do not get their precious FP+

Yep. Good thing they are expanding Soarin and adding a reconfigured queue and especially a new film to absorb some of the crowds.

Nope. The people who come specifically for Frozen are going to wait in that line no matter how insane the wait is.

Good point... Disney really didn't think this idea through, did they?
Do people honestly believe stuff like this? Yeah, right they totally didn't "think it through."

They're putting a property that's insanely popular into a ride that can't handle anymore than 900 guests per hour. They either didn't think it through, or they don't give a crap.

Or maybe there's some strategery there, as I laid out yesterday. Attracting all of the lunatic hardcore Frozen fans into one spot in the back of a huge park and holding them there for insane long waits is a brilliant move. It's a huge "guest experience" enhancer for non-Frozen loonies at the expense of those Frozen loonies who won't care anyways as long as they get to meet ANNER ERND ELSER ERND ERLAFF.

We'll see. I am under the impression that "operations" was far less a consideration than "cheap".
See I think it was exactly an operational decision. World Showcase can handle an uptick in foot traffic. Fantasyland cannot. I'd argue that operations was the primary driver at the expense of some "thematic appropriateness." If this is as AA-heavy as it could be, that's not a cheap attraction.

That's fantastic! Hopefully they will treat mouth-breathing Star Wars nerds exactly the same when they show up to pet an EWOOK.

So not only is thematic appropriateness disregarded, but the primary driver is operations that will allow for families to spend a majority of their day waiting in line for hours to be able to visit 2 attractions (ride + M&G)? Sounds pretty crumby for a family of four that paid appx $350 for entrance to the park. #DisneyReallyCares

I'm not sure what you want me to say. Sucks? If you 1) have so little grasp on reality that you'll wait three hours to meet a $10-an-hour cosplayer or 2) lack the intestinal fortitude to deny your children from doing the same, then that's on you, not Disney. I don't blame Disney for "creating" three hour lines, I blame the bozos who wait in them. I'd just as happily not have those folks clogging up the rest of Epcot, Magic Kingdom, or wherever else.

I understand, it is silly that people would wait that long. But its as if your excusing for the company for short changing fans simply because said fans are willing to wait. Dont they deserve just a little better than that? Especially considering that the company could do better. I have clients for my work that love my services and continually return to do business with me. I would never treat them less just because I know that they wont go anywhere else.

This is so true about parents letting their kids make bad decisions. When my daughter was little Dumbo was the insane wait vs. reward. She had no trouble adjusting to the idea that a five minute wait for Aladdin's carpets made more sense.

I really think it's they just don't care. They really have no reason to care either. People are paying the money, the parks are full, all is well in their eyes. After being in Epcot today, all I can say is, it's a train wreck of a park and Frozen will not help that. It's just sad, so very sad.
