Ok... This is good news.. I guess. Now how about the ride itself, I know a bit early, but I have heard... Many projection screens, some basic AAs, and the use of the backstage area for the boats will become the first show scene. Not sure about this NGE....maybe Anna, or Olaf will say your kids name....I personally don't get it, but I'm old school...

Does anyone think they'll keep the waterfall/sailing backwards? I'd imagine it would be very difficult to remove an element like that.

I really hope its not true that the ride is screen based but Im not gonna hold any grudges until i get to ride it first hand. I still trust them not to make a bad ride, even if it is shoehorned into Norway/

I have no doubt there will be the "thrill" element of the fall, but the track is basically your typical log flume design in that new pieces could be created to replace others. What they actually do is anyone's guess at this stage.

I've seen a recent pic from outside that the waterfall is still running? Was/Is that separate from the water that was at the top there where you would go forward "over the falls" ?

So what does Next Generation Experience really mean? Will any of the old Norway Pavilion remain?
Next Generation Experience actually is a combination of things like Fastpass plus as an example or something with a smart phone or a magic band. It also goes out interactive experiences like things on a ride saying your name as an example.

I am not the person to ask about the smart phone part are interactive part of NGE. I don't have a smart phone and the only part of Next Gen. I use is the wristbands for eating, hotel room, and entering theme park. I also used NGE for Fastpass Plus and that is it.

I heard from some very reliable sources that the flume was going to be extended, at least a little bit. They have not started on that yet? It would seem a bit too late to start now (that is if they are still on time with their Dec. 2015 opening, but I doubt it...).

The flume can't actually be extended without significant work that undermines the whole project, just the portions dedicated to show scenes by combining load and unload.

I think I heard from sources and insiders here that it is going to be extended as in inside the building. Not by adding a new building but making more use of space inside the current one

...specifically doing load/unload in the same location so that the old load area and some of the queue space can be turned into a new pre-lift show scene.

I've heard that the AAs will have the same face technology as the dwarfs at 7DMT.

Well that's good news if it's true.
Those figures impressed the heck out of me.

This is so sad. I fear the Frozen axe has one more life to claim at WDW. Where is the permanent stage show going? Muppets?
There hasn't been any information on any site about Muppets leaving DHS in the last year. The only information about Muppets gone for Frozen is for DCA, not DHS. DCA doesn't have the muppets right now matter of fact.

Muppets even hasn't been mentioned at anytime for the redo of DHS. The attractions rumored to be closing at some point doing the redo in the past on this forum or other forums is LMA, and Indiana Jones. Neither of the 2 are for Frozen, but Pixar and Star Wars instead.

There had been rumors off and on through the years on this site about Voyage of the little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage going away. If there is a Frozen stage show based on the movie, it would be at one of those two locations since the sing-a-long is supposed be going where the Old American Experience attraction. The Frozen sing-a-long being moved to Superstar Theater has been rumored in the past on this forum.

I did read on other sites that there is type of work being done inside the American Idol Experience building. Orlando Theme Park News mentioned on March 4th that work is being done inside the old American Idol building aka Superstar Theater. Disney didn't say what is going inside that building yet officially.

Few status updates I got from a buddy yesterday

- Maelstrom Sets are gutted, 1 or 2 murals remain, that's it
- Ride track remains intact, although all ride controls, systems, etc have been removed
- Major queue restructuring taking place, obviously the Maelstorm queue was way too small for a newer (especially frozen based) attraction
- The whole area (Arendale/Attraction) will be one big NGE area.

All I have for now.. More as I know it.
I truly can say this was worth a new thread, and was all info we have simply never heard of before. Bravo.
