You know, those posts I made are not because I really miss Maelstrom. They're really due to the loss of recognition of theme park design. I don't "let it go" because the theme park medium needs to be recognized in the general public: people need to be aware of its standards and artistic purpose. That's why I lament, not necessarily the loss of Maelstrom, but the introduction of a shoehorned attraction to make a quick buck (with no due respect to THEME).

This is what happens when there is no recent news. People bicker about the silliest things.
Yes, theme in regards to a THEME park is so silly.

People on here hyping about Tokyo Disney Sea when none of that have been !!!

How does that work ?!
You know when every member here travels? That's disturbing.

Anyone trying to defend Maelstrom as some worldclass attraction, and that a quick overlay of a terrible ride consititutes satisfaction for a Frozen attraction quite frankly fans who have set the bar so low they have such low standards.

When you look at what Universal is doing, and i am by no means their biggest fan, and then compare it to Disney it's almost embarassing.
Now you just look foolish spouting off nonsense trying to deflect your previous stupid remarks. Maelstrom is not being called some bar setting experience.

do you notice the same guys are " liking" each other's comments and claiming BRAVO to each other?
It's the same people who feel they are victims of an attack when someone simply disagrees with their logic. The "bravos" are nothing more than an defense mechanism and a way to confirm to each other that they are 'winning'. As to what game they are playing, I have no idea... It is clear they have difficulty distinguishing fantasy from reality so it's best to let them have their I'll conceived moments of triumph lest they decide to further self diagnose themselves as victims of abuse

The theme is being enhanced. Frozen is perfect for Norway. Norway has sub-artic temperatures and Elsa will feel right at home there. We have a wonderful thematic improvement being built and all some people want to do is complain. I think people need to be more positive like Olaf, "I'll be doing whatever snow does in summer".

It will be very interesting when Tokyos Frozen area debuts. No doubt the defense and excuses by those who are in favor of what is happening at WDW will not change but at least there will be a much higher standard to actually show what we are trying to explain as to what we could/should have gotten for Orlando.
Who needs to wait for the debut? Concept art should be enough, especially when it's a concept pitched to OLC.

You would think that would be enough. But youve already seen the asinine reasoning put forth in defense of the Norway pavilion project so I can only imagine what logic they will use when presented with mere concept art, lol

It will be dull, just like the rest of Tokyo Disney. People here hyping it but haven't been. How does that work ???

I've been there twice so I would know.

The reasoning?

WE GOT IT FIRST
MY PRINCESS LOVES IT AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS
IF IT MAKES U NOT COME, THEN ONE LESS PERSON FOR ME TO STAND BEHIND
DISNEY IS A BUSINESS
UNIVERSAL SUCKS

that's about it....

Right. I posted the extreme largely as a joke. But there's plenty of evidence Maelstrom wasn't always a walk-on. Here's a picture taken from 2013 well before Maelstrom's removal was common knowledge:

While it was frequently a walk-on, the original claim was that even on the busiest of busy days it was very rare to see more than a 20 minute wait. And that's just not true.

Yep. I rode it July of 2013, and even then, the standby line extended outside of the doors.
