Disney confirms 'Frozen' makeover coming to Epcot's Norway Pavilion

I think this is it. We could create a construction update thread similar to the ones Avatar or FLE had, but since almost all of the construction is inside a show building that isn't changing there isn't much to talk about. Unless someone working on the project wants to sneak a few pictures or something...I won't tell anyone;)

... and we never see people complaining about Avatar in the Avatar construction update thread. ;)

Idk ive always thought that if any ride should be moved to a different park its ''its a small world"......it has a worldly theme, was mechanically groundbreaking and even debuted at a worlds fair.....maybe Its just me
I have grown to like this idea a bit. If given the choice I wouldn't mind IASW moving at all to put Frozen in Magic Kingdom. We could also finally have the grand entrance the other versions around the world have and maybe the ride itself could be updated since they would basically be starting fresh. It would be interesting to have it in a park that's basically a permanent World's Fair too. Maybe Carousel of Progress can move there as well? ;) Of course I do wish it could just stay where it is as well as adding Frozen but it does sit on and block a good amount of space.

If this was done I say go all the way and get rid of Village Haus too. It could essentially be replaced by a new restaurant in Arendelle so would there be any real loss there?

I know Norway is not the place where this new ride should be. But please, stop complaining about the location of it. What is done is done.

I know that it is not likely to change, but one thing that can come out of people complaining about it now is that company begin to understand how much people care about EPCOT and its mission. I mean, they sold it to us for generations, and we bought it and believed in it. Now we want them to know.

If we "just stop complaining about it," they will more likely think that it was never a big deal, and that we don't really care about the theme and mission of EPCOT that they sold so well.

If they never know the lasting effect of this decision on their biggest fans, they are not likely to stop doing it.

While this is in Cali, it would not surprise me to see this type of theme/design/coloring inside Frozen in Norway, especially the rich red tones which stems from Norwegian designs. Just throwing this out there for fun discussion.

Wow. That is so much better done than the Frozen Fun stuff we got. Then again ours was apparently planned and done in the span of 2 weeks so............

If it ends up looking like that inside Norway somehow someway, then it would look fairly nice, Akershus also has the same type of design red tones/design though darker. But lets hope they implement something like this and use a cohesive Norwegian look.
I guess that's the best we could hope for at this point. I still doubt we'll see that much Norwegian influence in the ride. Frozen all the way. "The ride, which will replace Maelstrom, promises to take guests through the fictional landscape of Arendelle and right into scenes and songs from the movie." Doesn't give me much hope. Not at all.
