I should hope so. The cue is going to be insanely busy and they will need a lot more capacity.

Keep in mind the old line could barely hold a 20 minute wait without spilling out the entry door.

I hear that the ride is going to be reduced to one one show scene were we hear Elsa sings Let it Go and the rest of the building will be queue. ;)

If this is standing around the old Fastpass alcove, wouldn't that be the former load area far right, with the former fishing village area taking up the left 2/3 of the photo? You can see temporary safety railing at right that is likely around the trough.

It's funny how there spending all this money to make a frozen attraction when frozen fans will go there ride or no ride just for a meet and greet and whatever they have at DHS.

They were limited edition online only shirts.

I still wonder if it was really "limited edition"(aka less than 5,000copies)
or Disney brand "limited" (aka 500,000 and they will make even more if its popular). :hilarious:

Disney differentiates between Limited Release, and Limited Edition. I don't recall which exactly the Malstrom shirts were, but if it was the viking one with the glow in the dark eye, I do believe that was limited release. The difference between the two is that a LE item has a known number produced, while limited release pieces are only made for a set period of time. Most of the short run shirts they have done on the Disney Store website (any of them that have a 4-6 week ship time) they basically take orders, and then only produce as many needed to fill those orders. So if they seriously over estimate demand they may only make 500, or if it is wildly popular it may indeed be a 500k run. But in either case, once it's done they won't make that same exact item again. Different colorway, different placement, who knows, but never again just like it had been.

GM has been a pretty good sponsor... Depending on your view of WOM vs TT that is. I wish HP had the guts, or the ambition, to totally reinvent their attraction.

HP no longer has the BRAINS to reinvent their attraction, They are a vendor of cheap printers and laptops along with some halfway decent servers designed by Compaq which fundamentally have not changed much except for CPU/Memory types from the Compaq days.

OK I'll finally say it for the first time. I think Frozen is one of the lamest Disney movies ever. I don't understand it's appeal. And to put it where Maelstrom was is insane. I can't wait for Frozen to "Thaw"!!! Maybe that should be the name of the sequel.

If Disney wants to capitalize on one of their recent movies, do it in another park and use Tangled or Princess and The Frog. Much better movies.

I love "Frozen," but totally agree that it has no place whatsoever in the Norway Pavilion. Then again, I'd like to see all of the princesses kicked out of Akershus, for the same reason.

Disney can't ignore the success of Frozen and it would be crazy not to introduce a Frozen attraction, but it should be something designed and built specifically for that purpose -- an attraction that is good in its own right, and not a cheap overlay of an attraction that's just okay -- and placed in a location that actually makes sense. Shoehorning it into Norway just... well, gag me. :banghead:

I am not going to argue the point of whether or not Frozen "Belongs" in the Norway pavilion. However, people in this thread calling it a "Cheap overlay" is just FUD. Because honestly, we know NOTHING about what WDW has planned for the Maelstrom site. It very well may be a BUST, but I am not hoping it will be, like so many on here. I honestly hope for an entertaining ride that is enjoyable for everyone and all signs iv'e seen so far point to this not being just a "Cheap Overlay".

We're not hoping it will be, we know it will be. Trusted sources have all said the same thing regarding the quality of this attraction. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

While I agree that Frozen has no place in World Showcase, or rather EPCOT as a whole, people need to remember that EPCOT isn't even EPCOT anymore.

It's been cartoonified ever since they put Nemo in The Living Seas. Cartoon characters such as Figment and the cast of Kitchen Kabaret worked because they were cohesive and relevant the pavilion's themes and also with the overall message of EPCOT.

Unfortunately, that message has been lost and defunct since the mid nineties- early 2000s.

So, just to confirm with what an imagineer told me, since he didn't act too "true" when I asked, the flume will be upgraded with an addition to the track, as well as a new lift hill and boats similar to those of Pirates, new queue will occupy the theatre and load unload will both be in the old fishing village. Feel Free to Corect me if I got anything wrong! :)
