Disney Coffee

I am a huge coffee fan (I guess being born in Hawaii from a Kona bean is why). I often wonder why they have never decided to sell it outside of the theme parks. It is hands down better that many other store bought coffees. In the past couple of years, there has been an explosion of coffee in restaraunts, celebrity coffee, etc. I know that if Disney were to sell the Mickey's Coffee brand, it would sell.

I am a big coffee fan also, but if folks had never tried it, they may not be willing to buy. So it looks like you will have to stock up when you go.

Nescafe is complete swill! My question is why do they choose to use it over there own brand, or at least try something else. I stick to the Espresso while in the parks great jolt of energy and it actually tastes like coffee.

Cause Nescafe is a Nestle product

But now that Nestle is slowly pulling sponsorship out of the Land, maybe we have hope

The Nestle "coffee" they serve is also not brewed coffee. Its concentrated coffee syrup that is mixed with hot water when dispensed.

That way a CM does not have to add ground, change filter, remove ground, clean machines, etc. It works much the same was as a BIB soft drink dispenser, only with a hot water heater in it, and no CO2 tank.

It also ups the nastiness by a factor of 4

The Mickey's Coffee brand is actually quite good...just have 2 small bricklets (packets...whatever they are called) left.

I know they sell various flavors of the Mickey coffee at Disneyland and in World of Disney and Downtown Disney. At Christmas they have special holiday blends, and they also sell a special line of themed teas.....

Don't tell me that...now I'm gonna have to go during the holidays to get the special coffee!

My Aunt is a huge coffee junkie. She buys a case or 2 every time she goes to Disney. She loves the Mickey brand in the green tin. She goes atleast 3 to 4 times a year to get just the coffee. If anyone else in the family goes down she has them pick her up some extra. I do not drink coffee, but I guess the way she enjoys it, it must be good.

I may not drink coffee, but I love tea. Do you know what blends they have around Christmas? I will be there the week before and would love to find some.

I love real Kona Coffee and get a pound of it at Kona Cafe at Poly. Jamaican Blue Mountain is really good...those two are my regulars and I ususally "french-press" them.

BUt I wish WDW had descent coffee...real espresso.

I tend to buy Kona from the internet from a company based out of Hawaii (supporting the state of my birth!!). ABCStores.com. They also carry tasty island snacks as well. Banana macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup anyone?

They do have "Real Espresso" at a couple of locations
Here is a list of those I have found:

Boardwalk Bakery (BWR)
Boulangerie Patisserie (Epcot)
Ghirardelli's (DTD)
Starring Rolls (DHS)
Tangierine Cafe (Epcot)

Note: If anyone else has found espresso at other shops please share I need more places since I refuse to drink the Nescafe.

We get a pound of Kona coffee every month from a 'coffee club', and take it with us when we go to WDW. It is by far the BEST coffee I have ever had; Always smoothe, never bitter! It's worth taking up valuable luggage space to have at least one decent cup of coffee every morning!
