Did Disney say that Even Stevens was being cancelled?

I guess you could say that. All disney channel original series can only have 65 episodes. Lizzie Mcguire has also finished production but have still not finnished airing all the episodes.

Even Stevens will have a tv movie where Lizzie McGuire will have a theatrical release.

I never wanted to see the later Anne movies cause I love the books so much and don't want to be disappointed. I love the Rilla book though *sighs* I wish there was more of a series based on her... (Anne's daughter)... Okay you got the english major going here lol...

Louisa May Alcott is the reason I want to write though... I have almost all of her books in hardcover. :) :).....

I LOVED Jo's Boys on PAX

I loved all of her books too. It is great because there is soooo many you can read and read and not run out. Anne of Avonlea movie was good, kinda off the book but I just like to think of it as another story. Same with the continueing story. They had Anne in the time peroid of Rilla. I loved the Rilla stories too, and even though about naming my daughter that, but hubby vetod that. She ended up with the name Anna Rose.

I caught the continuing story on PBS and *whispers...taped it* But I own the movies Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. I am going to have to go check out the Disney Channel. It's almost 8:30 now, but it's Central time.

Speaking of writers, an interesting little fact....I grew up in the town where Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote all of her books (Mansfield MO). My Sunday School teacher was one of her really good friends (yes I'm telling my age) and when people have done books on Laura, they actually have pictures of my teacher (Neta Seal) in the books with Laura. Her and her husband travelled all over with Laura and Almonza. Another interesting fact is my dad used to work in a little cafe when he was young, and he would serve her coffee almost every morning. She is also burried (with her family) in our towns cemetary.

That is very interesting. I am looking forward to being able to share those with my daughter. Right now she has some of the laura picture books, a nice way to introduce them.

Tramp, I'm glad she likes the books. I'll tell ya what, I go home all the time, they are having an outdoor theatre this weekend there, it's a play they have every year there at this amphitheatre and it portrays Lauras life and her journey to the Ozarks. Anyway, I can get pick her up one of the little program pamphlets (it's not a big deal, but it's from her hometown) and at the gift shop they have photos (remakes of course) of Laura and her family. When I get them I'll send you an e-mail and I can send them to you, then you can give it to her. Might be kind of neat for her to have something from Laura's hometown.

I remember when Alison Arngram (sp) who played Nellie on the series came to Mansfield for Rocky Ridge days, I got her autograph and was SO excited hehe. They had Almonzo there too (can't remember his real name) the next year and I MISSED IT. I was so mad that I missed him.

LOL, My grand mothers name was Nellie. When my mother told me this the first time I cried. I thought Nellie was so mean, how could my grandmother be like that? Still can't get the image out of my head.

:) DisneyPhD, My Grandma's name was also Nellie! We called her Nell for short. Actually, I called her Grandma, but everyone else called her Nell for short.

When I met Nellie (Alison Arngram) I still thought she had something about her that made her like Nellie, I can't place it but my sister and I both laughed afterwards. She just had that snootiness of Nellie, we both wondered if it wasn't an act or...was it REAL???? LOL

Oh Goofette, how funny!!!!!! We considered naming our daughter after someone in our family, but they all had such alwful names. Many of the old fashoined names have come back, but not Nellie, (ellie yes, Nellie No.) It must be cursed.

Were your grandparents nicknamed Nellie or was their formal name Arnella? My grandmother's name was close to yours; it was Nettie. I named our cat after her since she showed up on our door the day we buried Grandma.
I too have names in the family I could have never passed on:
My dad's name is Dyton Odis, grandma's is Nettie, also there is a Domingo, Notisha (she was the nun turned truck driver), and then there are my dad's sister and brother who were Christened by the drunk priest. Uncle was supposed to be Robert Peter but found out when he went to go in the service he was Peter Rabbit. Aunt was supposed to be Gerry Dell, but found out later she was Jerome:rolleyes:. In the olden days; women were not to leave the house until the baby was Christened. Thus Grandma wasn't there to check the Baptismal certificate.
