Disney Channel Rocks ALSO closing

I've never seen a huge building with a guitar or a hotel that dusty with bad working elevators in Hollywood either
Good thing they are tucked away on a corner of Sunset Boulevard then and not right at the end of Hollywood Boulevard. RNR might be a bit difficult with its theming but I don't think Tower of Terror stands out at all from the land.

as big of a movie as Lion King is, and how it fits within the animal kingdom like a missing puzzle piece, it seems odd that the FOTLK is the only reference in WDW (except that silly circle of life show thing in EPCOT)

Clearly you've never heard of Art of Animation.

Uh... The Lion King?
I didn't see any animal carvings on Rafiki's tree if that's what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure it's just the Platinum DVD release that's given the Tree of Life name to Rafiki's tree in some hairbrained effort to retcon synergy into the movie.

Things are indeed going to happen at the studios.
The parade...I know nothing about.

George cut the parade and the show. They had lowest guest satisfaction ratings of major entertainment at WDW. The savings will be diverted elsewhere, but likely not toward a new parade.

So now TDO is now forced to choose between Parades (even bad ones) and other necessary Operating Costs? That sounds promising....

I respect that George was making an effort to do something about the fact these shows had low guest satisfaction ratings, but wouldn't that mean you either try to improve the current offering or start working on replacements immediately? I don't understand why people think it's okay to just completely shutter shows and parades because of their low satisfaction ratings with no planned replacement. I can think of a number of attractions that probably have low satisfaction ratings but yet they probably aren't planning on just closing them with no planned replacement.

What if the ratings are so low that the park is objectively better without them even without an immediate replacement?
