It was just attractions vs attractions. When all is said and done, the capacity increase isn't what it needs to be for the attendance increases. It's all a guessing game really. In theory muppets has a near 2400 people per hour. But we all know it's not running at capacity. The last few trips, we're huge Muppet fans so go a few times per visit, the theater is at least half full in summer. I'm not sure what the door coaster will have. Will it be close to something like slinky? If so that would make it a wash at the low end and and a few hundred more per hour on the high end.
I would guess most of the new attractions will see a higher per hour capacity. But how much of an hourly bump do we see overall when you factor all the shuttered attractions and the replacement differential? It doesn't seem that it would be enough for the attendance they get, to make any real difference. It's why I've argued monsters and cars should just go into the open spots they have.
