She has struggled with her disorder and some substance addictions over the years. I hope she is alright.
Did he mumble 'something, something, something, DAAARK sssiiide...'? Would be funny if he did, even funnier if you said it to him!In a mostly unrelated note, I met McDiarmid once, after a play in NYC.
Nice enough guy, but it's very surreal to hear that voice in person.
Come to think of it, Hugo Weaving would be a great villain also...Yeah, I think Noble would be a good choice. I never got into Fringe but really liked him in Return of the King.

Lucas and Kennedy hired screenwriter Michael Arndt, who won an Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine, to begin work on the script for Episode VII. They enlisted Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, to act as a consultant. Lucas started talking to members of the original Star Wars cast, such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, about appearing in the films. In June 2012, he called Iger.
Asked whether members of the original Star Wars cast will appear in Episode VII and if he called them before the deal closed to keep them informed, Lucas says, “We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison—or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, ‘Look, this is what’s going on.’ ” He pauses. “Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them.” Then he adds: “I won’t say whether the negotiations were successful or not.”
Still reading that, but interesting note that the article seems to put the hiring of Arndt for the script WELL before the deal was really in full swing for Disney:
Edit: Later in the article, it talks about him turning over the treatments, so it could be just an issue with the writer of the article not being clear about script vs. treatment.
Edit 2: Another interesting quote:
The way the article read, it was kind of the only way Iger would actually buy it. He required Lucas to let him read through the treatments of all 3 next films before he would really get heavy into the deal. Lucas knew he needed content to grab a buyer, Iger knew he needed the content to be decent.Sounds to me like Lucas wisely decided to get the next trilogy lined up prior to approaching a sale. Not only ensuring his legacy as the father of Star Wars but also adding some serious value to the company in Disney's eyes.
Iger is busy readying the machinery that will crank out Star Wars-related toys and theme park attractions and whatever Disney deems as appropriate franchise exploitation.
Am I misreading your post, "minus" Fisher? The article doesn't state anything about her not returning. Am I missing something? Are you refering to only Ford and Hamill because Fisher has already spilled the beans on her return? Even though she has said as much, I'm waiting for the official announcement from Lucasfilm/Disney. I'm sure all 3 will be announced in the same press release together, whenever that occurs.Found this article on the LA Times website:

It's only a matter of time before they publicly announce the trio minus Fisher are returning for Episode 7.

I meant to refer to only Ford and Hamill. However we got this news update today:

Sorry if I confused you. Not the greatest gramatically correct poster here. Lucas says all 3 are returning to Ep.7
