I am from Memphis, and there is this amazing resort being built in nearby Tunica Miss. Now they have announced the company as being Myriad entertainment, but, when I was in Disney world in april, I also used to be a cast member, several of my old managers were asking me how the project in miss. was going, and I was like what. They said that Disney was using the name Myriad to cover up what was going on, until the announcement was made. The resort is a fourth of the way finished.

It is being discussed that Disney is expressing interest in Hawaii and Malaysia. So far. they are intending to develop a hotel in Hawaii and a theme-park in Malaysia. I don't think that either plan will develop further than talks.

While I have conflicted thoughts on this development, I have thought since first reading about this that Niagara Falls would be a perfect location...

12-14 million visitors from all over the world visit Niagara Falls (USA...I'm not sure about the numbers for Canada). Niagara Falls, USA is woefully underdeveloped, especially compared to Niagara Falls, Canada, which has Clifton Hill, a nighttime entertainment area, as well as two casinos. Putting location-based entertainment in Niagara Falls could easily bring in millions of people per year (and perhaps could even draw more people to the area), and help encourage tourists to spend more money in Niagara Falls, USA (particularly since there may be even more hassle in going across the US/Canada border, leading to tourists hesitant to cross into Canada and more than willing to spend their money in the US). It is less than two hours from Toronto (the 5th largest city in North America), six hours from NYC, and a little over 3 hours from Cleveland and Detroit. It really is centrally located compared to other major cities in the NE, in addition to the automatic tourist numbers.

Honestly, I think it's a no-brainer, but that's just me

Anyway, just my thoughts...

Only if they have a Niagara Falls barrel-riding attraction themed to Song of the South. :lookaroun

I'm not sure if this is of any use but when i was down in WDW a few weeks back, on the way to Universal, one of the bus drivers went past Sea World and explained that they were builing a new water park that is going to be bigger than one of Disney's so now Disney is in the talks to build a new water park as well....competition i guess?

I'm not sure of the validity of this but I'm just letting you know what i've been told.

Oh yes, the Aquatica water park. I think thats what its called. I dont know, it seems as though the disney water parks are already smaller than wet n wild, and Im pretty sure they have less water slides and stuff. IMO, I dont think just because seaworld is opening a park that will be bigger than disney's water park that it would encourage them to build a bigger newer one. If so, I would be eager to find out its theme, since BB and TL are like the only well themed water parks ever built, they couldnt just put out a big park with a bunch of slides and no specific theme. IMO they should try and put more in BB and TL, specifically TL with all the rumors about expanding next to crush n gusher.

Try not to believe anything the bus drivers tell you about upcoming projects. I'm surprised he/she didn't mention the 5th gate at WDW :lookaroun

Maybe I'm just a fuddy duddy or something, but I think if they have the money to do this stuff, then they have the money to expand AK and DHS. It also means they have the money to continue including tip and appetizer with the dining plan, and it means they have the money to let me stay in the Grand Floridian for 150 bucks a night.

Once upon a time(Thinkin' back to the 80's), it was impossible to even find a Walt Disney World-themed shot glass, much less alcohol, at WDW(I believe the only place that served was the restaurant at the top of the Contemporary), so anything is possible.....
