Anniversaries with a 5 in them that aren't 25 or 50 aren't a big deal. I don't think we need them to do much for a fifteenth anniversary, honestly. Even the even-numbered ones aren't a huge deal, really. I think Epcot's 30th was well done, for what it was. :)

25 and 50 should be pretty mind-blowing, though.

I'd have liked to see Joe, though.

Is it not slightly sad that after 15 years, most of the attractions (non-animal/games/trail) can fit in a 10 pin mystery set (some are doubled up)? And that all the attractions could fit in less than 2 sets (17/18 pins)?

We all complain about the lack of attractions in FLE, but their Mystery Pin set also had 10 revealed pins in it (as well as 10 concealed pins). Does this set have concealed pins?

Also, wouldn't you think that they would make a 15th anniversary set out of 15 pins? (14 pins + 1 completer?)

  • It's Tough to be a Bug - FLIK & HOPPER
  • Festival of the Lion King - SIMBA & PUMBA
  • Kilimanjaro Safaris - GIRAFFE/ELEPHANT
  • Pangani Forest Exploration Trail - GORILLA/HIPPO
  • Wildlife Express Train - TRAIN
  • Expedition Everest - YETI
  • Finding Nemo - The Musical - NEMO
  • DINOSAUR - CARNOTAURUS
If this set has concealed pins, could these be the concealed pins?
  • Habitat Habit! - Where is the cotton top tamarin pin? (or does the train cover this attraction?)
  • Conservation Station - Where is the Grandmother Willow pin? (or does the train cover this attraction?)
  • Affection Section - Does anyone want a pin with a goat/donkey on it? (or does the train cover this attraction?)
  • Flights of Wonder - Where is the pin with the eagle?
  • Maharajah Jungle Trek - Where is the pin with the tiger?
  • Kali River Rapids - Where is the pin with the raft vehicle?
  • The Boneyard - Where is the pin with the dinosaur skull? (only room for one dinosaur pin?)
  • Primeval Whirl - Where is the pin with the ride vehicle?
  • TriceraTop Spin - Where is the pin with the triceratops? (too similar to the Carnotaurus/only room for one dinosaur pin?)
  • The Oasis Exhibits - Wouldn't expect a pin
  • Discovery Island Trails - Wouldn't expect a pin
  • Fossil Fun Games - Wouldn't expect a pin
  • Greeting Trails - Wouldn't expect a pin (especially with the characters moving around), although I guess that a Safari Mickey pin will be available separately (and he is featured on the DINOSAUR pin)

ohh, blinking chip and dale! first time I've seen them. Kinda creepy, actually.

Wow, that's awful....wish the video showed what's going on in front of the truck. Nemo?

That's all that Disney wants to see... a bunch of people lining up to spend big bucks on an anniversary tshirt, or vinylmation, or poster, or whatever it is with a "15" scribbled on it.

Kinda sad. :\ But this will be considered a big success for the bean counters.

I was there this morning - it was extremely underwhelming. I'm getting tired of the "ceremony' format they keep being repeated. They always bring out cast with signs from each land, have a VP read a script, have another guest read out a letter or two, then have some entertainment (that you can see everyday in the park). This format started in a fairly grand way at Epcot's 25th, and then has got diluted overtime to the sorry state they are in today.

It is painfully obvious that these "events" are now purely about selling merchandise. If they offered a good event, the merchandise sales would come naturally with no need to ram them down our throats.

I can't believe people actually waited in line to by the merchandise that was featured for the anniversary. Are we as guests that hard up for something to buy. I'm sure the limited merchandise will be just like Epcot's so called limited merchanside and still be available 6 months later.

I can't either. I walked by the line and laughed to myself on my way to ride Everest. I was only there for 2 hours, but it didn't even feel like an anniversary to me. I got my guide maps rode EE and Dinosaur and got out of there.

EE looked pretty good for what it is. All waterfalls were on and the steam was working at the load station.

Were they playing the 82 EPCOT BGM? I figure there has to be some reason for the crowds...
