I certainly didn’t think what she said before the election about the original film would be a firestorm. Boy, was I wrong.
I did. Just like with Mackie. At this point it should be fairly easy to spot when something is going to go off the rails. For myself, it's more of a surprise when something that I think will and it doesn't. Like it or not, that's how it's been. It's more amplified now, so that's why I have yapped so much about watching what you say and your wording... But there's this push back on the boards that you have to let these people say whatever they want. And if you're for just letting actors have diarrhea of the mouth and say whatever they feel at that moment. You should hardly be surprised when it goes south.

Disney's media team is saying Snow White cost only 240 million. 🤣🤣🤣

Even though Forbes already reported by the end of 2023 they already spent 269.4 million. And they've done loads of reshoots since then.
This is a problem with ALL movies Disney makes, no one knows the true cost to make and market. Disney would never tell the true costs.

Someone would need to hack into Disney's Slack to find out ;)

People looked for comments to amplify from Zegler and Mackie for very specific reasons. This didn’t just happen.

History exists, convenient or not.

Zaslav is narcissistic, vindictive, and embattled. He came up with a (bad) plan for WB content and, in the face of a huge backlash to killing Coyote, doubled down by turning away several interested offers to buy the film lest its critical and/ or commercial success make him look bad.

This really is all due to one petty man.
I'm talking even before the merger with Discovery. Its not like WB was doing anything with them by and large anyways.

I just don't see a resurgence of Looney Tunes on the horizon.

I looked at my closest theater and there are 3 seats sold at the 2pm premier, 0 at the 2:40 show, 0 at 4:15, 1 at 4:50, 0 at 5:30, 2 at 7, 1 at 7:40, 0 at 8:20, 0 at 9:45, and 1 at 10:30… for a grand total of 8 seats sold between 10 showings with advance bookings.

Comparing to my post from last Friday…

2pm - 12 seats sold
2:40 - 3 sold
3:20 - 0 sold (added show)
4:15 - 6 sold
4:50 - 8 sold
5:30 - 0 sold
6:10 - 0 sold (added show)
7pm - 2 sold
7:40 - 5 sold
8:20 - 0 sold
9:05 - 0 sold (added show)
9:45 - 2 sold
10:30 - 1 sold

For a grand total of 39 seats sold for 13 screenings.

Better than 8 a few days ago but still far from good, theaters are off to a horrible start this year.

They made Coyote vs Acme.
And? That doesn't mean it was going to do well. Just because a studio revives a property to try and monetize it doesn't mean it has a resurgence and finds a new audience that brings it back to its former glory. This same discussion was had when Disney tried to do this with Muppets, as I mentioned previously.

Like I said I don't see it, but we'll see.
