Just to clarify one of my statements. Disney has backed off the idea of building anything in other parts of the country in the past few years even before 9/11. THe reasoning on a corporate level was the WDW and DL are destination locations. If they were to build in a different area, be it seasonal or not, especially only a single park they would be creating a regional destination and not a national one. They are afraid of stealing their own business. First of all, by giving people a Disney close to their home they may never even make the supposedly magical trip to FL. or Ca. Also as a regional park they would not have the Lodging, Resort, and Recreational outlets they do in Fla and to a smaller extent in Ca. to pad their revenues. Revenues which come with much less overhead than the park itself does. In short Disney is not really interested in being a day trip. There isn't enough money in it
