They'd better not be filling up all the unsold spots with free entries so they can bill it as a completely sold out experience and proclaim it a huge success. (a.k.a: Hanna Montana marketing hype)
That's exactly what they'll do. They need bodies when they post the recap on parks blog. Nice to know the rubes have limits. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if they were holding off on announcing prices for MNSSHP until they saw how this did

Well, according to the DVC RSVP page, tomorrow night is filling up fast. I rsvpd, but I still haven't gotten my email confirmation.

Yep, that's what they are doing. They are also giving this as a DVC perk right after they took away the perks from anyone buying DVC resale. The DVC reps will be using this as a selling point..."if you buy direct from us you get all sorts of special perks not available to resale buyers. For example we gave our members free tickets to an exclusive event at MK that costs $150. For your family of 4 that's a $600 perk. Almost covers what you pay in maintenance fees." It's the latest way to get people to pay twice as much for DVC points.

"The latest surprise generating buzz around the neighborhood"

The only surprise is that they actually managed to sell ONLY 200 individual tickets for this thing before someone said - it might not be good optics if the amount of Cast Members needed to operate the park outnumber the Guests on its grand debut!

How do you know they only sold 200 tickets?
