Disney After Hours BOO BASH

We're going during Labor Day week. We already had it set in stone before the pricing came up. We haven't been since February of last year and we were going to wait to go until next year. But when they announced this event, we knew we wanted to go. Sure, it's MNSSHP lite, but the only things that will be missing that we usually cared for are the fireworks and parades. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but the atmosphere and limited capacity should make it worth it for us.

looking at our travel dates, the only date we could do it would be on 10/31. mickey is getting our $$ one way or the other, but for that price i’d rather spend it on souvenirs

Low crowds because of high prices for low offering. Just like this. But because there isn’t a Halloween party this year many may do this instead and therefore there won’t be low attendance like the others.

We've been to after hours events (MK and DHS), Early Morning Magic (MK - when they had the AH-MAZ-ING breakfast at PVH, never tried it after they moved the breakfast to Cosmic Ray's), and Christmas parties. After hours was BY FAR the best event of all of them.

We will definitely be getting tickets. My only concern is that we will be at the first event, which is almost always a cluster cuss, iykwim. It seems like it always takes one or two events before the cm's and management get all the kinks worked out. Sigh.

An attendance cap is an attendance cap. They’ve been turning away people for months. There is already more demand than tickets but they’re keeping their caps.

The theory is that ticket sales will be capped to a predetermined number. Hopefully.

It’s not hopefully. The cap is set. And that’s that. Disney After Hours is a premium “brand” for the parks that they won’t tarnish. They want these events year-round. They print money without impacting day guests. They are cherries on Chapek’s cash sundae.

No one is forced to attend, but let’s have a genuine conversation here. This is not a party night. This is a DAH event. These events have been going for many years now, with people on these boards moaning about the pricing and not understanding what it is. But, the word from most that attend is incredibly positive. These events are extremely low crowd, with free snacks, and basically walk on rides.

If that’s not for you, wait until next year and you can enjoy trick or treating with thousands more people crammed in during a longer event where most people waste their time in line to meet a character.

I don’t know, but I wanted to be there for the 50th so I booked my trip for September 30 - October 4th. I know there won’t be too much going on but I’m excited to be there for the milestone.

You’ll need to wait until 2023 from what I’ve heard. It’s DAH through April 2023. Unless people grow tired of TWMMC, which isn’t expected with two major E-tickets in 2022.

If you don’t find appeal in buying extra time in the park, don’t do it. At least you won’t be forced out at 6 pm.

This. You can’t complain about the timing when it doesn’t shut the park down early and is only 2 nights per week. Definite positive from that aspect.
