Disney After Hours BOO BASH

I'm honestly shook at the $199 price tag of Halloween night. It's interesting to see this and then in the other hand see talks of a paid FastPass/priority queuing being discussed. (With the idea that parties and events are a way to upcharge for lower wait times.)

If this sells, no way MNSSHP comes back.
More Expensive for guests, Shorter Duration, Less Entertainment provided, no fire works, Less CM required.
Perfect combination for the UPCharge equation.

I really was looking forward to this, but with NO AP/DVC Discount in October and at $169 PP, for 2.5 hours** of unfettered ride access.

**Remember Day guest get to get on line till the last minute of park closure and it takes time to clear them out. (Which was my biggest annoyance with the other DAH events)

MNSSHP would have been $149 in 2020 on Halloween for a jam-packed party. I don’t think an extra $50 for far lower crowds and ice cream/popcorn is unreasonable.

Man I'm bummed about this. I hope at least MK is open until 10 some other nights so we can enjoy after dark.

First October we will miss a party. 😔

There will still be fireworks and the event will still close at midnight, so they won’t save as much money as you imagine.

They will show Not So Spooky and Wonderful Christmastime again. Might the party format shift in 2023? Sure.

If they want to show Wonderful Christmastime to day guests throughout November and December and then have rides and a parade at an event with far fewer people, I won’t complain.
That would be a Big Change for MK. Usually it's normal Pyro until Christmas week, My only concern with that plan is 90/180 or no 90/180????? MK cuts 90/180 pyro for Day Guests after the last MVMCP till Dec 30-31st.

Hard to compare:
Lower crowds -- HOPEFULLY. If they truly do limit the ticket sales.
But no significant special entertainment, no special character meets....

I'd say a true party should cost *more* not less.

Weird that there's no dates at all the last week of Sept. I understand not running it on 10/1 but why skip 9/28? Are they expecting it to be crazy busy all week and need to skip that Tuesday?

It frustrated the hell out of me that at any DAH event, after the fire works, it took almost an hour for the park to fully clear out of day guests. During that time, the DAH guest were subject to whatever the remainder of the lines were for the E-Tickets.

In theory I agree with this sentiment, but with less entertainment and activities (at least as it stands, this could change and morph over the summer with new offerings being added), I find the $50 to be a bit excessive.

However, I understand the desire for lower crowds, absolutely. Moonlight Magic is my favorite offering for DVC members because of this perk alone.

That extra $50 is for one night. The night that would sell out immediately at lower prices.

It is not an extra $50 for any other night.

I'm sure all our free-market fans are applauding over this.

Boo Cash !!!!!!!!! The pricing on this watered down event portends VERY badly for Park admission prices and Fast pass monetization . 2019 Not so Scary costs me 80 Dollars ( Sept> 2019 ). Now 130.00 or more ? For this ? All the while Universal is all in for Horror Nights . Covid is NOT a factor in this decision . Its a result of company decisions to prioritize " Enhancing shareholder value " over guest experience . Chapek believes in " Less is more " , pointing to guest satisfaction surveys . The cards are on the table now and the decisions have been made. Gouge whenever possible with no remorse .
