Disney After Hours BOO BASH

I get the argument that this is out of budget for some families. But a lot of the people complaining seem to be the ones who have been to every Halloween party for the past 10+ years. That’s out of budget for most people.

For people who go every 4 years (10 in my case), this is huge! Walk on rides for 3 hours?! That’s a really big deal. And seeing people dismiss it for lack of entertainment because they want something “new” is frustrating. For many of us a ton of stuff is new. We haven’t been there 3 times this year. Let alone in the last 3 years.
Do what works for you. As far as who’s complaining, I’ve seen AP holders/DVC owners who take 3 or 4 family trips a year accusing people of ruining Disney by giving them too much money for Boo Bash tickets. It’s a vacation - people will decide for themselves what has value and whether the cost is worth it.

Here’s the next one - seems to have slightly more to it; I wonder if the price will be higher.

It's just a downgraded Mickey's Merry Christmas Party. Don't let the After Hours moniker fool you. /s

It sounds pretty similar to AHBB to me.

The attraction overlays will be there all day, it's not like they can flip a switch. They aren't an AH exclusive.

The fireworks could still take place during regular park hours, but would technically fall within that After Hours "early access" time. Again, not an AH exclusive.

It sounds like they're listing things that will be available for day guests and AH guests, just to make it sound more appealing.

I noticed alot of vloggers having a hard time trying to do everything at this event. Seems you need to either see characters/parades/candy or do rides. Some rides were 20 min waits.. so one ride could take up 30 min of the 3 hours. Idk feels like it should have been longer. Such a huge price tag and can't enjoy it all without stressing .

Actually they can quite literally flip on a switch on the overlays. These aren’t too elaborate and that’s what they did for Christmas parties in the past. They’ll also be doing two fireworks shows those nights, one for normal hours and guests, and then Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime exclusively for after hours guests.

Still no MOUACT Cal. or Parade confirmation. I'm sorry but Minnie's can't be the only Entertainment offering! Merriest AH should be just like Boo Bash plus Minnie's IMO!

They didn’t mention specifically cavalcades either. Sure some could interpret character sightings as possibly a cavalcade. Would love to think they left the idea open for the full, or mostly full, OUACT. Or for all guests daily. Not gonna hold my breath though lol.

I won't be mad if OUACT is a day thing again. Or, maybe they'll have like 3 sets of Casts and run it 8AM to 2AM?(not really that long but you know what I mean) Plus we have the 50th Cal. to factor in...... If OUACT is a day thing only, I think MK should go for Most Merriest Castle Show along with Minnie's for Merriest AH.

We’ll see. At this point it would be nice to be able to purchase tickets! lol. But I guess they have time left.

If we enjoy the Halloween one for my bday, we'd be likely to do the Christmas one for my husband's 50th in December - provided they are still limiting crowds. That's a nice overnight trip from South Florida.

I just assumed Boo Bash is a COVID-driven replacement for the Halloween party. I’ll bet that’s what most people consider it. Lots of things changed to lesser experiences because of COVID. No sense in getting all bothered by it unless the Halloween parties don’t return post-COVID. If you don’t think Disney is providing enough to justify the cost, act accordingly.
According to our insiders, the switch was mostly driven by the 50th celebration and the desire not to tick people off by kicking out of the park early with a Party Night and having them miss the 50th fireworks.

That does make sense but...was MK really going to go that route if COVID never happend? I mean BTY/MOUCACT's Cal was only thought up because of COVID. Granted MK could think those up without COVID but still.....

They probably would have thought of some other way to handle the situation if COVID hadn't been an issue, though.

What I take from this party bash whatever you want to call it, is for all the complaining about paid FP they have no issue doing it for this. Technically you are paying for shorter wait times, which is pretty much paid FP

That’s exactly what it as. My tickets were $129. Easily the 29 is for candy, ice cream, and “Halloween fun”. So $100 for an unlimited Fastpass for about everything but Dwarf Hill, Mansion (not surprising), and JC (and no way would I waste time from this event waiting and riding that).

If I can ride Thunder, Space, and Splash as much As I want, with no wait, for 3 hours, that’s pretty good.

Anyone know if you can still sneak up the ramp from load to unload for a quick deride on Space during this? Used to do that during the Party, but then with the overlay the line was longer.

I'm very sorry you're having difficulty keeping the two different types of events separate because there is some overlap in entertainment.
You seem to have your head in the sand here. People understand its different events - but doesn’t matter what you call them, when you swap one for the other, the comparisons and expectations are unavoidable.

its literally running on the party’s spot.

yeah they can’t manage how to deal with two different fireworks shows for October… But November and December??? Noooo problem!!

that excuse never held up and disney essentially confirmed it when they announced the Christmas event.
