For those cheering on the falling share price, though, do you think downplaying the investment in the parks plays well or badly with the investors who drive the share price?

Q: DTC price increases... when it breaks even what will look like?

Maybe you should do more PPV!!

Bob: You know that ESPN+ can be bundled or not, don't you? <silently rolls eyes>

No comment about guidance of DTC passed break even. And buying the stake of Hulu will be helpful as well as new price hikes.

Q: Free cash -- can you sustain big cash flow?

How can you grow sports?

Bob: ESPN is #1 brand on TikTok. Looking for partners to grow. <stump speech cut>

CFO: Yeah, we're gonna get those benjamins, no cap.

CNN posted an article saying Linear is going to take a 2 billion haircut.

Disney said it would continue to dramatically cut costs as it looks to rebuild its business in a rapidly changing media environment.

The company announced it would slash costs by another $2 billion, adding to the $5.5 billion in cost-cutting it had previously announced, which included thousands of job cuts.

The company said there were no plans for layoffs. CEO Bob Iger suggested on a call with investors that the cuts would come primarily from its struggling linear TV business.

Pour one out for Nat Geo Wild.

They gutted WDI with layoffs and the aborted plan to move to FL. Takes time to hire good people and ramp up projects. 2 years is a good number just to start significant investment.

Bob: Linear business is making money in linear. We're looking for options still.

Bob: linear's ads are improving. Addressable ads are the Rizz. And ads on AVOD is da drip.

Q: Can ESPN do local rights?

WB is licensing out content. Will DIsney do the same? I'm a freaking business genius!!!

Bob: We're already doing that, but not with core content.

Local Sports: We could do it, but not aiming to do so with too much risk.

Investors care about parks for providing cash to invest in other higher growth potential areas. Trouble in parks can hurt investment in, say, DTC. That goes into why they won't spend money in parks until "back end" of decade, the parks money supports other parts of the company and that'll continue until streaming stuff can stand on its own and support itself. If that doesn't happen then we can expect that allocation to decrease.
