So far this year it looks like there will not be much Discount Codes unless you are an AP holder. Anyone have any other info on this.

I'm also curious if they will be offering the general public
room discounts. It sure would be nice!!! We go every other year to WDW.
So it would not be worth it to be an AP holder for us. We live 17 hours
away from WDW. We can only make that trip in the summer with the kids being in school and all. So please let me know if you hear about any discount for June 2005.

No hard info, but Disney's having a pretty good year, apparently. The better they're doing, the less of an incentive they have to issue discount codes, especially to non-AP holders. I'd even venture a guess that they might reduce (though not stop) AP discounts as well. At the very least, they'll offer AP discounts to the more expensive rooms that are harder to book because most people can't afford them at all, leaving standard rooms at full rack price because they're more within most people's budgets.

But if any codes are offered, mousesavers.com will have them as soon as anybody else, if not sooner.

In my watching of Discount Codes at WDW, I think I have seen a trend towards releasing an AP Code a few weeks before they release a code for the general public.

I assume that their system is: 1. get full rack rate, 2. give the discount to passholders, 3. if there are rooms left, give a general discount code for what is left.

So, following my logic, since AP rates for June came out last week, maybe soon you will see codes for June...

Hey there all!!! I agree with Slappy, as the code that the AP holders got for May was somewhere around a 22% discount for this year as opposed to a 38% percent last year. As far as the non AP discounts, I havent heard of anything but I have E mailed this thread to Pam of Kingdom Konsultants for her input!!! Belle

I've been hoping for general public codes as well. I did a little research at mousesavers, and it's not looking good.

2003 - general public codes released on 3/14 for bookings from 4/27 to 7/3.
This was also the year when codes were released in Ebony and
spanish-version People magazines on 2/17 for the booking dates.
In this year these codes were released before AP codes.

2004 - general public codes released on 3/9 for bookings from 4/18 to 7/4.

I'm really, really, really hoping that the general public gets a shot. For our family, it means the difference between a moderate and the AKL.

Any Word Yet On Discounts For Public?

Just curious if there's been any information on discounts yet for the public?
I'm anxiously waiting and praying they offer them this year. I'll keep checking
every day on Mousesavers and other Disney related websites.:lookaroun
