I'm not saying you are but the whole premise of the thread and opening post seemed more an attempt to stir up the loons that make a joke.
In retrospect, perhaps. But that wasn't the intention. If it does, more power to it! L o l

And then they remind you that they truly love Disney and our the biggest fan but point out every possibly wrong detail to be helpful.Plenty of stuffed shirts certainly, but there are a few members that contribute more than just {pick one or more or add your own} : skewed political diatribes, laments that Disneyworld actually changed something so that its not like it was on its opening day, how their last trip was ruined because the cast members didn't act like dancing bears, the lack of Surströmming in every dining location, etc.
My hats off to those who actually answer other visitors questions.
Ha!
Funnily enough there are those inside the company - and project - taking similar bets.
As feather said there is a built in B mode already designed in.
No one said permanently.@marni1971 thats truly depressing that the project team has created a pool as to when the Shaman goes B mode permanently...

Remember Imoteph at RotM also has a built in B mode.
The same Discos 60's parties that the Yeti got invited unwillingly for more than a decade? You must be fun at parties.
As an engineer, I would do that to test the max designated performance limits of that huge AA.It would be hilarious if they programmed the AA to disco and brought in a disco ball and played random songs as you went past. YMCA, Staying Alive. Do it on April fools.
Comments like this are more of the reason why threads get locked, not stupid content.
a screen?Ha!

Regarding any backup plans:
You get no shaman before you get disco shaman. Creative Lighting Shaman is more likely than Disco, but less than no. If no shaman is chosen, then a filler backdrop becomes the front drop. Also a chance for backup shaman, but I havent heard that much on that, other than it was a possibility at one point.
Hats off to you, I needed (yes, needed) to look up Surstromming (sorry no umlaut) out of intense curiosity. That was very amusing, now that I know what it is!Plenty of stuffed shirts certainly, but there are a few members that contribute more than just {pick one or more or add your own} : skewed political diatribes, laments that Disneyworld actually changed something so that its not like it was on its opening day, how their last trip was ruined because the cast members didn't act like dancing bears, the lack of Surströmming in every dining location, etc.

I guess the only people allowed to poke fun at WDW and the reliability of the Shaman, are the people who work there. It's sacrilege for anyone else to so!Ha!

I've already seen the backup plans. A Cast Member stands in front of the Shaman, singing your favorite songs from Frozen with a banshee hand puppet on her shoulder. They're calling it "Singin' with the Shaman". Unfortunately it's an up-sell event. $145 plus theme park admission. Includes a Diet Coke and a blue cookie.
If Disney wants to maximize the return on their investment, and doesn't want a repeat of the Yeti situation, wouldn't the most sensible thing to do be to run the Shaman in the "A" mode just long enough to get recorded by vloggers and their own media people for the commercials, and then switch to the maintenance-saving "B" mode once the park is open for the rest of its service life?To anyone who wonders why any AA would have a B Mode, or to anyone who complains when an AA breaks down: as someone who has spent heir life working in manufacturing facilities, when you have a machine with mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components that is constantly moving, components are going to wear out and break-it's unavoidable. You can do preventive/predictive maintenance to expand the amount of time between breakdowns, but it will still eventually happen, especially with AAs, which run 7 days a week and have a lot of small, intricate components. The only time we should hold Disney accountable is if AAs remain broken for extended periods of time, as someone had mentioned earlier, or if Disney is not doing their due diligence and performing PMs on them on a regular basis.
