Disappointing day at IoA

I was only wrong about Everest, which isn't surprising seeing as I've only ridden it once. Requesting where to sit isn't the same as having a line for it. You can request where to sit on any ride. Doesn't mean the CM's will care.

Maybe they don't care, but they sure do fulfill my request every single time.:)
That just makes my argument even better...most of Disney's rides don't have specific lines for front or back, yet even when the park closes and I'm waiting in a certain area behind others waiting for that same row they dont make me get out of that line and go into another random row.

Ha ha!! Sounds like the "ride Nazi"! That's especially true on Space Mountain! I swear, they practically bite your head off on that ride if you request a different seat.

Weird. I've never had a problem and I'm there at least a couple times a week.

Having to deal with the "Can I get the first row?" questions everyday, I am an avid supporter of numbering the rows in reverse.

At RotM, it all boils down to if I have room on platform for the people to wait. Most minions try to accommodate requests if possible. At ToT, because of how the elevators are dispatched it's usually not a problem having people wait for the next elevator. How would you group 21 people into 3 rows of 3 and 3 rows of 4? It's like playing tetris.

That sucks that they made you switch lines... but what really caught my eye was that they had such a long line of people with complaints. I'm not an avid Universal fan, but I do enjoy a lot of their attractions and themes... I just wish their employees/cast members/whatever their called were a bit more friendly. I know, some are great... and at Disney some are bad... but since Universal is the underdog they should be trying harder to make sure these things don't happen.

Just because they were in guest relations it doesn't mean they were all there to complain. The line at guest relations next to SSE in Epcot was HUGE yesterday. It looked like the line for Test Track.

Why should I disguise my bias? You certainly don't disguise your attacks on other posters.

Uh, you were also wrong about RNRC. I've waited for the front of that one a number of times.

why can't people just get over the fact that every park has its bad days and believe it or not so does disney:eek: just because disney is amazing it doesnt mean people have to chose between the two, they are totally different experiences.

What? Disney has bad days?

I have to say that anytime someone in my party has requested front row, in any of the parks, we were graciously granted the front row. On Dueling Dragons a couple of weeks ago, the guy loading my DH and DBrother recognized the Yankees/Mets hats and, of course, an immediate New York bond was formed. DH and DB were invited to come back through the exit line as soon as they were done riding (I guess where they direct guests with disabilities? I was busy drinking at this time!) and he would load them immediately. And this was March 31, one of the Mardi Gras/Spring Break days, where we waited 95 minutes for The Hulk and 75 for Spiderman. Meaning it was busy, and he was still that cool.

Does it surprise me that the front row thing happened to you, no. The running of Dueling Dragons has gone downhill since the park open. I remember when they used to run 3 trains on each side all the time and consistently got the trains dispatched. Now they usually run 2 on each side and take forever to dispatch trains. Usually the other train will be in the brake run when they finally get around to dispatching. I don't know why the operations on this ride sucks now cause I never have problems on Hulk or Spidey.

Heading for the great escape.
Lol, suprise surprise. Another post by you trying to prop up Universal by bashing Disney. You could at least try and disguise your bias considering the fact you are on a Disney fansite...

Anyways, it does suck that Universal did that. I've only been there for the park's closing a few times, but I don't remember any problems with anything like that. Hopefully it's only a one time thing. I mean in the grand scheme of things it's not too big of a deal for people who are able to visit a lot, but it would suck for people who can only get there once or twice in their lifetime.

Congratulations on your appointment to Mod, I bet you look swish in your Thread Police uniform
