Dinosaur has seen better days

Cross-posting to here.

What a pleasant surprise on the first day of the trip! I was just here in October so great to see a fast turnaround on the alioramus AA.

Just to follow up on this, and looks like I was just beat by BlogMickey...but the alioramus AA is back as of today 12/20 and is looking better than ever!

AK was my first stop of the day during this short weekend trip, especially to get a couple rides on Dinosaur, but this was a pleasant surprise. As previously stated, it now bobs up and down again, as if it's eating the smaller dino, restoring near to its original intended motion.

Besides that, I can visually confirm the 2nd carnotaurus is chasing again as previously reported, and man it looks good.

Actually the entire ride is looking well now...the best in years (maybe dating back to 2019 or earlier). The meteor shower has a few new red lights which adds to the ambiance.

So glad (one of) my favorite ride isn't going down without a fight before its final extinction. Kudos to the maintenance & other teams involved with restoring these aged AAs and other effects throughout the ride.

And now here's a blurry capture from my ride earlier.

Considering the shameful state that most rides marked for death are left in, the extra maintenance here is greatly appreciated. Kudos to whoever made that call.
Like I said in the other thread, I think it might be a reaction to fan reaction. People really want one last ride (or rideS) on Dinosaur, so there are far higher wait times than before, thus making it worth it to perform maintenance on it, especially if the fixes are meant to just last the year.

I appreciate it if that's the reason. I purposely didn't go for one last ride at the end of the life of Splash (RIP) because of the reports of the deteriorated condition. I didn't want to remember an all time favorite like that.

By that logic they should have fixed Splash and Country Bears to some degree. The condition both of those went out in were shameful.

Splash... well, Splash it's kinda obvious why they wouldn't have fixed it, given why it was going away. To the latter point, I think they think they didn't get rid of the Country Bears, just gave them a new show to put on. Plus, was there a big uptick in people going to see it before the changeover?

Doesn't matter the reasoning for an attraction leaving. Bad show is bad show. Also yes, there was an uptick for wait times. Splash regularly had 1 - 1.5 hr waits right before it closed.

I meant Country Bears, not Splash. Splash I'm well aware had a major uptick.
And yes, I agree bad show is bad show. I'm not the one making the decisions! Just saying "I get why in that instance".
Either way, the ultimate point is they're giving Dinosaur the love it deserves for a proper send off and I think that's nice.
