Dinosaur effects

It's the perfect audio level, it sounds exactly as one would expect a harrowing situation to sound. Unfortunately it's complainers who got it turned down a few months ago, and now it's not nearly as exciting. It's always been well withing the legal decibel limit.
I have never complained to Disney the four times I have ridden it so don't place any blame on me lol

God bless the "Ignore" button.
That's the one ride my girlfriend won't allow me to point out broken things on. She loves it and doesn't want me ruining it for her. :P

The Dino eating another one was working perfectly last week. The small Dino was even sliding in and out of his mouth.

I love Dinosaur because it's my AK time killer, plus I never have to wait over 10 minutes!

Dinosaur is one of my favorites. I do wish it was a bit better maintained, but the missing effects don't bother me as much as they do on other rides.

There have been several discussions about the dire state of the attraction.... Like Steve said, if I may, have a look here:

I'm starting to get the vague impression that you like making quality videos of very hard to videotape things.

Now they need to stop and look at their own dino animatronic work in Dinosaur, and see how they can bring that kind of updated tech to the dinos in UoE.

Bill Nye featured in TWO dinosaur themed attractions at the World? o_O Seems to me like some imagineering creativity was broken.

If you go to Martins site, he as a great Dinosaur/CTX tribute video. You'll never look at the attraction the same way again.

Wow I just watched both of the ride throughs and the original looked 10X better... Is there any word on AK fixing up EE and/or DINOSAUR? When I was there in febuary the Alioramus wasn't working properly his head was only moving up and down and the dino he was eating wasn't moving at all...

Maybe it was just me, but Mr Wizzard always looked like he was seconds away from back handing a kid.:)

Either way, I am a big fan of anyone that promotes science to kids.

Absolutely. And it's great that the role of "enthusiastic educator" has trickled down from the occasional celebrity figure to lots of " teachers" with hundreds of thousands of "students," thanks to youtube. This TED talk references quite a few popular resources: http://www.ted.com/talks/how_much_does_a_video_weigh.html

Having ridden it 4 times last week, I did notice that the in the first scene, all the dino's were operational, and the lighting was much better than in March. Volume could still be louder....but it's what you don't see that is what really makes the ride. The time portals were originally pretty spectacular with the fog and the lasers, and throughout the attraction, most of the cool effects have disappeared. To those unaware of the missing parts, the ride probably still appears pretty good, but for those that remember CTX in it's glory days, it's like looking at Mickey with two ears, an eyeball and six fingers missing.

I think I rode the original once, and I do remember the carnotaurus 'chasing' the car quite vividly, it's a shame the sound effects were changed.

I can't say anything else was noticeably a lot different though. The narration from when it first opened is terrible in comparison.

The ride should definitely be loud though, that's what's so good about it. People who go on rides that are designed to be scary and complain about how scary they are need a good slap.

Its a thrill ride, it should be loud. People who think it is/was too loud are just used to the volume levels around WDW, which, for whatever reason, tend to be quieter than what you hear at Disneyland or Universal.

Same here. To me the ride is still pretty cool defects or not

Carno was chasing the rover last week...I was sitting in the back left seat (on all 4 rides) and kept my eye on him. He got very close, which surprised me, as in all the years I've been on CTX (can't call it Dinosaur), I've actually never sat in that seat before. It was also the first time I've ever seen the asteroid (meteor) passing overhead right before the final portal. I think I've always been focused on the dino above the rover, and never noticed the meteor effect.
