Dining with the princesses?

Is the only place to do a character meal with them in Norway? The food does not look like something my family would like but I know my niece will want to eat with them?

Thanks!

There is also Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle but it is VERY hard to get reservations. Give it a shot though =)

We did the breakfast with the princesses in Norway and it was delicious! One of the best meals we had that trip. We had six adults and my 5 year old niece and most of the princesses took the time not only with her, but with the adults as well. There were a few 'fly-bys' (Snow White, I am talking to YOU!), but really an enjoyable meal with good food and GREAT service!

It got 14 thumbs up from our family! :ROFLOL:

While the food left a bit to be desired at the Princess dinner in Norway, the interaction with all of the Princesses was excellent. My family is picky and they all found something to eat, but we have agreed to not go back.

My daughter was delighted to see Ariel in her human form. :king:

I would like to give a second nomination for the breakfast at Akershus. It is regular breakfast food like you would get anywhere else, so you don't have to be so worried that it is unfamiliar food that your family won't eat. We have done it twice now and it is a favorite of ours. We found that the princessed here really take the time to talk with the kids and my kids really appreciate that. We have seen Snow White, Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Jasmine, and Belle here.

We have done the breakfast at Norway twice and decided to call it quits this year. We always go to Cinderella's Royal Table for both the princesses and who doesn't like eating in the castle. We always do breakfast - picky eaters. There is 1900 Park Ave I think that has Cinderella. Haven't tried it though.

We also did the 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cinderella. Probably my least favorite character meal. The food was good, but the atmosphere was very crowded and noisy. Since Cindy is the only princess there, her time at each table is very short. The mice and Prince Charming are there as well and the Fairy Godmother was in the lobby, so lots of characters. However, if you are wanting 'princesses' I would look elsewhere.

We are going with famiily and my niece will be the only one who wants to see a princess. I guess we will have to let them decide which one to do. I know she loved Cinderella, but not sure if seeing only one would beat out seeing everyone but her.

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it.

Sorry if no one really likes CRT (I've never been) but allears.net says the characters are "Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Belle, Aurora, Snow White -- characters vary by day."

I am not sure if it is that CRT is not liked, I think it is more the case of "It's really expensive for what you get." On the dining plan, it is 2 TS credits each. If you are paying, it is anywhere from $25-$40 per meal. If you check the menu, it has about five entree' items. Not a big selection for that kind of money. Plus, it is REALLY difficult to get reservations. Go figure!

That being said...we ARE booked at CRT for lunch this Dec. and decided it was a better deal to pay for it rather than use our DDP credits. I haven't eaten there since it converted from King Stefan's (which DID have decent food and a larger selection). However, I do know that the setting is much nicer than 1900 Park Fare and not as cramped.

Plus, the hubby and I know that we are not going for the food, but for the princesses. Our DD will be nearly 3 for our trip and is "Princess-crazy!" (We have Crystal Palace ADRs for dinner that night in case we don't like the food at lunch!) A steep price to pay? Probably, but in a few years she may not care about that kind of thing and why not make the memories now? Life is too short to miss those kinds of moments...:king:

We did the princess breakfast in Norway a couple of years ago and my DD LOVED it. She tto is a picky eater and really dislikes most breakfast food. Hubby and I thought the food was great:slurp: ! My DD ate very little but, she was so fascinated by the stream of princesses that came by, signed her book and posed for pictures, it was well worth the money. All the princesses were wonderful and my daughter talked about that breakfast for months. I say go for it!

We have done the norway breakfast twice as well and we wont be doing it again, at least for a long time. Both times the princesses rushed through, not really spending time at the tables. They would come to the table and say "hi princess how are you?" Sign the book take a picture then they are off to the next table. The food was average breakfast food, nothing special.

You can dine w/ Cinderella at CRT at the castle for b'fast or lunch (Snow White, Belle & Aurora are sometimes there).
Cinderella can also be seen at 1900 Park Fare in the GF for dinner.
There is also a Princess Tea Party offered at the GF where you can meet Princess Aurora for tea.

Norway, CRT, and at times 1900 Park Fare (they at times have Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother.) To get ADRs for CRT, you have to call at exactly 180 days before your arrival. You have to call at exactly 7am (east coast time). Call 407-WDW-DINE, and book your ADR. They accept breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Though CRT is the most expensive character meal they have. You have to book your ressie with a credit card in advance, because they will bill you for the meal. If you don't show up, they will bill you. For two adults for breakfast, I paid around $78 (and I don't think that's including the holiday price increase--hooray for that).

We got lucky & booked b'fast at CRT 4 months in advance.

I ate at Norway, and I wasn't too impressed with the food. The princesses were fine, but I don't think I will be eating there again. CRT, now that is another story. I love CRT. I have eaten there for my birthday three years in a row (in fact, just ate there on Thurs). And I think I like the food better for lunch there then breakfast.

This is probably the last year that our daughter will be into the Disney princesses. For her eleventh birthday, we are taking her to the breakfast at Akershus.

My mother went with her to the Tea Party at the Grand Floridian one year, which she loved. As a family, we have done the Cinderella's Royal Table. The food was good, and the characters hugged the kids. (Our son seemed a bit more impressed, though, since he had a huge crush on Belle at the time.)
