On the plus dining plan your full sercvice meal comes with entree and desert right? will they let you swap out desert for an appetizer if comparable price?

I am pretty sure it is no but wanted to check. I would much rather have an appetizer than a desert.

Thanks!

Right, just an entree an dessert.

I'm pretty sure if you get the deluxe dining plan you can get an appetizer.

Of course, someone back me up or clarify this as well.

You are correct, it is appetizer, non-alcoholic drink, dessert. You will hear from some people on the boards that they were able to have a rare exception to the rule. Personally, I have never seen this done, and have only heard no when people have asked. If you want an appetizer you are going to have to pay for it.

Edited for truth.

Thanks, that is what I thought I remembered it being.

Will pay out of pocket if we want it then.

Thanks again!

While they may be close in *menu* price to each other, there's a greater profit-margin on desserts. Thus, in terms of the restaurant's cost, a dessert is cheaper than an appetizer. That's why you almost never (if ever) see a substitution.

Slightly off topic - for the quick service meal they let you swap out a dessert for a fruit. After a few days of over-eating, I'd much prefer an apple or a bag of grapes to another chocolate cake!

That is good. I did not know that. I too would rather some grapes that desert. Thanks!

You can also request a bottle of water as your dessert if you don't want dessert or fruit, and then bring it with you for later.

Depending on the restaurant and the server you might be just ask if you can swap. Dont know if they will let you if you dont ask. All they can do is say NO....but some might be nice enought to let you.
