I used the digital key at a Hilton this past December it was nice but the magic band is much easier to use. Especially since we all have one with room reservation.
Unfortunately some people don’t but that would be their own fault. That's why you password protect your phone.
Who that can afford a Disney vacation doesn't have a cell phone? In the very rare instance, I'm sure they'll have a way to get in.What if you don't have a cell phone, still use Magic Bands or are you given a hotel key? Are they going to get rid of Magic Bands already?
If they could port everything the magic band does to the Apple Watch, sign me up. Magic Band stays on my belt as I prefer to wear my watch.Indeed it would! Hopefully that is in the works.

(Sarc on)Hoevwr, they'd leave a significant portion of guests in the dark - we Android users.

Well then pfffffttt.
If you can't afford both you don't belong at WDW.

At Hilton you didn’t have to hold it to the lock just be near it. It was also slow to unlock so it was a tad annoyingBluetooth has a range of 33ft, so I wonder why you hold it up to the lock, unless it's NFC.
I like if it stays optional, I can use both interchangeably and my other option is free (free in the sense of I already paid my resort fee)If you don't like the idea, just remember that its optional. Just an added convenience for people to have is all this really is.
Ding, ding, ding. This is the beginning of no **free magic bands with resort stay.

The main advantage of the MB at this point is that it's water proof. Would rather take that into the pool/water parks than a smart phone.
As a frequent visitor of Hilton, I find the phone app useless. It takes for steps to unlock via phone than the card key. Used phone 2-3 times, never since.Hilton rolled this out a while back and it works really well. You don't even need to hold the phone near the door, just have to stand near it. Definitely a step above the magic band.
I have used the Hilton system. Novel idea but more complicated and time consuming process. From experience, it sucks.I've never used it, so I have no idea if it sucks. Have you used this type of system yet? Genuinely asking.
I like the idea, personally. It's not for everyone of course. I think it's a handy feature to have. But I understand why someone may not like it. But maybe if you, or anyone else, hasn't used it, maybe, you know, it doesn't suck? Not liking it's fine, but it's a little hard to say it sucks if you haven't used it (or that it doesn't).
