Did Stitch's face get an update?

In a video posted by Attractions Magazine I couldn't help but to notice that Stitch now has more teeth and a wider mouth. Also, the light blue of his lower lip now extends to the base of his ears. Its a small change that will likely go unnoticed, but I was wondering if anyone knows when or for what reason this happened?

Given the character's frequent use on the Tomorrowland stage, maybe it's in preparation for an articulated Stitch? Though, obviously, it could simply be to make him look friendlier (and to help his friends with visibility).

Overall, a good move. Not the highest priority, but a good change.

Yeah from a priority standpoint swapping out a hundred Stitchs has to rank about 1,472 on Entertainments list of problems.

He definitely looks a lot friendlier now. As someone above mentioned, it looks like he's smiling now vs. a sort of sneer. I always wonder what the idea behind little changes like this are. Being in Project Management I can visualize the insane amount of behind-the-scenes work it took to agree, plan and do something as small as "let's update Stitch's costume." LOL!

Actually, some of those were identical to early Disneyland costumes! But why is Practical Pig in a diaper?

Almost every character is being reviewed for costume enhancements right now. Stitch was one of several changes.
