they are tight lipped because they run the risk of loosing future work if they blatantly violate their NDA's and contract agreements. Its more about preserving the lucrative partnership.

heck the only reason I know about the sampson metal contracts is because I live nearby and there's literally a segment of the gold stars from under the hat installed in the front lawn of the company and they sell their off cuts to the public. Quite frankly I just knew what questions to ask.
