Yeah, received that yesterday. The red carpet event coincided with an impressive grand opening ceremony in 2010, so I'm wondering if we'll get anything like that tomorrow. Something tells me less of the cast will be showing up for the festivities this time though.

Softs have officially started for upper level management. Employes will be next few days and then supposedly they will start soft openings for everyone in the park this weekend.... We shall see. Management I've spoken to said it's absolutely mind blowing and they all agreed the HE is the show stopper. I'm going to try and sneak in ASAP since everything is def up and running they just are only allowing a select few in.

OK, I know all you TMs and locals are in there enjoying the new area. But you really need to let the rest of us in, we promise not to crowd you too much (yeah right) but I can be there in 1.5 hours when you post the word.

TM member previews officially start Wednesday for people that aren't connected to higher ups.

Giving the thread a bump! Arriving July 2nd. Anybody know a non-Universal employee or Media person who has been let in? I will definitely let you guys know if I get a sneak peek this week!

If you booked a Vacation package you will have access to DA during the next week before the public opening on the 8th. Gringot's is still up in the air though.

Got home today- arrived on the 22nd- no "soft opening" for us- but we did see Creature in the window. We also saw about 8 TM with a HUGE stack of HP "tickets" walking thru the park. we followed them for a bit, but they disappeared backstage :(

As of 7/1/2014 Hogwarts Express has soft opened to the general public. I got to ride today between 6pm - 7:45pm

I got there at 9:15 this morning and 5 minutes later they took the gates down and let us in, I walked on and got to board the first train of the day. It felt so good knowing I go to experience it ahead of the horrible wait times we will inevitably see this summer.

As for Diagon, the official Universal press release for the Hogwarts Express soft opening stated it won't see any public openings until the 8th. A TM I talked to at the park said the same thing, but that could change I'm sure.

I've heard Gringotts issues keep preventing Diagon Alley from Publicly soft opening. I truly hope Uni gives us APs atleast the chance of multiple ride through of Gringotts to actually enjoy it.
