These are good questions. It's hard to tell if the lack of attention is because people are just not interested or because there has been very little information about it since the initial announcement.
I think its a combination of both. The little bits of info that are out there, are not really enough to excite anyone for this. Of course there might not be that much info because if they really say what it is, that would hurt the build up even more. So I guess the lesser of 2 evils is just dont say all that much and people will be more interested from the suspense.

Narnia had to go. And did they really want to board up ANOTHER space at DHS? I am curious what the effects are they have mentioned. But when Disney isn't making a big deal of something...rest assured, it is definetly not a big deal...

or TWDC got a new bed and now wakes up on the right side and everything will be better!.....i kid i kid. however i dont think we should bash something that nobody seems to know exactly what it is....being POTC themed makes it 10x better than what its replacing.

I don't mean to bash it - but expectations shouldn't be high. This isn't a ride or elaborate show. It will be similar to Naria. Just a more relevant theme. Shockingly, even Disney doesn't seem to want to build this up...

i agree and i understand that it wont be much however i would rather see the positive side....that is it is better than what its replacing on content alone. But if they include nice show elements great...its a bonus but all in all we are better off than before thats all im getting at. (too much forum talk about how the earth has cracked and hell will swallow WDW) =)

no intention to step on toes just to bring less doom and gloom to the forum.

It'd be nice if they could use this space to showcase up coming films and maybe even put the spotlight on some of Disney's lesser known films from the past. Something to create awareness for the "classics" and buzz for the new stuff. Great way to move some DVDs/Blueray's, and keeps the space fresh.

Let me just add for the 50th time - this attraction is the size of a closet and can't house anything big and that there is no room for an indoor queue so it has to be manageable and can't exceed a few hundred people. The idea of a show would never work here.

Looks a little bigger than a closet

They have made a lot of headway on the exterior. I was just there last Thursday and they only had the map part of the outside painted. Even the rest of the building was different color. I think the outside looks pretty cool with the map and everything. Seeing it in person really makes it look even better.
