Probably just moving the queue or something? There were rumors of moving the entrances of Rock n Roll and Tower of terror. Maybe this is somewhat of a sign.

No clue just have head rumors. In my opinion, it can't really be done due to how the park was originally designed and where the attractions are. My guess is the queue are will be moved somewhat for fastpass +

There was permit today for Tower of Terror Fastpass for another sign contractor. Not sure what this means in relationship to the Mermaid permit.

Might just be a question of availability, both contractors are commonly used by Disney.

We haven't seen the plans yet, but we suspect that this will be part of the expanded Pixar presence in the soon-to-be-former Hollywood Studios park."
