DHS Backlot Tour Minor Construction

Today when I visited the park, I noticed some construction going on at the Studio Backlot Tour.

First off, the "Harbor Attack" sequence wasn't using volunteers. They were only showing off the effects and having the audience countdown to the effects and what not. The construction was taking place between the "Harbor Attack" sequence and the "Prop Warehouse". There are work walls up in the area outside the Prop Warehouse.

So far the construction of what I saw looks like a frame of a house or something. The weird thing is that the wood doesn't look new.

Not sure if Harbor Attack can't be done while the construction is taking place or not, but it was weird.

Any thoughts on what it is?

They often skip most of the harbor attack sequence when the weather is bad, so it might be unrelated.

I'd be surprised if they were adding anything significant to that ride, seeing as it's supposedly on its way out. Wasn't there something a while ago about them getting rid of the hosts and using a taped voiceover?

Harbor Attack did not use volunteers at times today because of weather concerns. It is not related to anything else. It happens all the time.

Found out from a friend that the construction between the Harbor Attack sequence and the Prop Warehouse is "Hannah Montana's Chicken Coop". I'm not sure if this is true, but from the progress, it would make sense. I don't have pictures, but the building is using old wood, nothing new it seems. It also seem pretty big for a chicken coup. It has a rooster wind vane on it, blue corrugated steel roof, old red wall, and some windows one of which reminded me of a stained glass window without the stained glass.

In other news with the Studios Backlot Tour, today the crashed tram car at the entrance of the attraction was missing with a small brown work wall in its place, not sure if it is just out for rehab, or gone for good. The pictures and props in the queue are also gone from what I could see. All that I saw that replaced it was lone American flag.

Are they just swapping things out, or is something bigger going on?

WoW! I saw the Hannah Montanna movie and I really liked it(I am too old for this, and I don't care for the show). The best part was the Chicken Coop. I think it could be cool.

I was just there and i saw the same thing i'm pretty sure it's the chicken coop from hannah montana the movie. In my opinion it's a bad idea and something with the jonas brothers would be much better.

Seems like they should have done something more Selena Gomez and/or Demi Lavado. They are kinda in the in where Hannah is more on the out. That is just my opinion.

I'm hoping that the chicken coop will be there just as something new to see while they work on slowly but surely moving all the props out of their and then dismantling the Backlot(less) Tour once and for all...

Their was a rumor that they were thinking about removing the Backlot Tour from MGM.
