Walt Disney Treasures - The Complete Goofy

For the first time ever, celebrate Walt Disney's lumbering, lovable, and eternally loyal everyman in this retrospective of his classic animated shorts and enjoy the heydey of one of the most popular characters in cartoon history. Thanks Grizz,

I can't wait to get some of these for Christmas. They have been the kind of thing I've wanted for at least the last 4-5 years now.
Thanks again for the info.

Thanks grizzlyhall! Many years ago I took a pursuit driving course and one of the best training aids they used was Goofy in "Motor Mania". To this day I always think of Goofy when I see a careless driver on the road.

Yep, there is a write up in the new Disney mags right now, apparently Maltin has a lot to do with this too. He says he is already hard at work on the next ones for 2003. I can't wait, but boy do those tins eat up a lot of space.

Yes, that's the one. Mr. Walker (Goofy) starts out as a normal and courteous person, until he gets behind the wheel of a car. He then turns into Mr. Wheeler, a real monster! It's a great cartoon.

Did you all see that they are also re-releasing seven of the originals (weren't there eight?) in a package deal?

I just saw it listed at www.disneystore.com for $169. Go there and search for "Walt Disney Treasures" and you will see it.

It could be a great buy, because most of the earlier ones are now selling on e-bay for double their original price, since they are out of print. [Since they were numbered originals, I guess these package sets were made from existing stock at Disney.]

And not only that, they're also scheduled to be released down here. I don't think Davy Crockett or Disneyland will, because it's not something the mass market would look for, but the first one on the line is MM in Living Color. For 65 reais, that'd be around 22 dollars.

I will get Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio. I just hope they put out something really good on Walt Disney World. I love the DisneyLand one.
