Oswald has a visual presence at the event.
Signage, etc.
There is also a small standee for a photo op.

Here is a look at the credentials for the event, and the huge padded Lug branded backpack ‘goodie bag’ given to every attendee.
You had a choice of three colors, and all of them are packed full of rather nice Disney goodies.
I will take a shot of all of those things later….

Had to race over here to the Studios after picking up my credential, and have had to carry this thing around all day.
No time to ditch it at my Resort room…
Reminds me why I never bring bags, but this is a nice giveaway.

looks like nicer giveaways than last one - even just the bag is pretty nice

Had to run off to the Studios….but here are a couple of quick pix of just one of many displays that greet attendees as they arrive.

These are original puppets used for MKs former show ‘Legend of The Lion King’.
As a puppeteer for over 40 years, and a big fan of that old show…this was very cool to see!

Just a little surprised there is no signage denoting where these are actually from….just a generic ‘Hey, it’s the Lion King…’ sign next to them.
This is D23 after all…and they are usually pretty good at labeling displays.
If I didn’t know these figures or were aware of that past production I would not really know where these were from.

There is a giant ‘Figment’ display here too….did not have time to snap a pic, I shall in the future.

You're a puppeteer, how neat. I took my nephew and niece when they were young to a production of Rudolph at Christmas one year and I thought they had recorded all the voices, but it was the actors doing all of the puppets and voice work. I'll bet you have a lot of fun doing that. And so cool with the original puppets from the Lion King. I've seen the production a few times and were totally enamored by it.

I haven't followed the specific topic at all, but is there any chance they could repurpose Galactic Starcruiser into a de facto expansion of Galaxy's Edge? Specifically continuing the shuttle from the park and having that be a kind of dinner theater type of offering? I'm picturing a Hoop De Doo type setup with reservations to be able to go so not just a free for all but something that could certainly be monitized easily.
They “could”, but why would they? They have a plot of land for a restaurant already in Galaxy’s Edge w no need to transport.

I hope DAKs Zootopia is on a larger scale and bigger than Shanghai’s. A train would be awesome and it would be cool if they added the fountain from the movie! Something Epcot should have but I’d take the Zootopia one at DAK!

After all these years, it's astounding we're (or some are) still advocating for replacement(s) of existing serviceable rides instead of new attractions, bringing much needed additional capacity to the park(s).

I’m not saying this is a reliable source however Brayden from Mickey Views has just tweeted that Zootopia is coming to Animal Kingdom.

…Just not at Dinoland.

Again, not a reliable source but it’s worth mentioning.

I mean, from a Disney standpoint, it would make more sense to just do the whole "copy/paste" thing of the Shanghai attraction as opposed to trying to rework Dinosaur into a Zootopia attraction and DAK could certainly use another dark ride.

I think they would have to switch the train type, it’s too low capacity.
For what it's worth, the Hogwarts Express at Uni is also fairly low capacity with a total of 330+ passengers. The Wildlife Express train tops out at 250 riders. An additional coach would get it closer in number to Hogwarts capacity. It's doable. But yeah, completely different trains would be best.
