That's what I'm thinking. The overall urgency of needing to make some big splashy announcement is really at a fever pitch and should not be dependent on the event.

Actual D23 Expo. Little has ever been announced at these Destination D23 events.

I expect they will announce an opening date for Journey of Water, attendees are invited to a preview by showing their event credentials and a wink and coy phrase, that “we might see more of Moana in the future.” Social media will go wild with predictions, and vlogs while Disney will have revealed nothing.

Not WDW or even stateside related but still relevant. Anyone surprised at the big Fantasy Springs news blitz we just got when we are so close to Destination D23? That would of been perfect for this event.

Seriously though, I have no details on what will be announced, and as we saw with the blue sky thing last year - anything is possible. Wouldn't be surprised if the exact announcements are still in flux.
